This travel nursing job offers the chance to experience Peoria's vibrant riverfront, arts scene, and welcoming Midwest community while working in a top Illinois healthcare facility. \n\nTravel Nurse Job Details\n\n\n\t • Location: Peoria, IL 61637 (Central Illinois nursing jobs)\n\t, • Healthcare Setting: Surgical Acute, Medical/Surgical Unit\n\t, • Start Date: December 15, 2025\n\t, • End Date: March 16, 2026\n\t, • Contract Duration: 13 weeks\n\t, • Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), 3 shifts per week\n\t, • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week\n\t, • Weekend/Holiday Rotation: Every other weekend and holiday\n\t, • Charting System: EPIC\n\t, • Scrub Color: Any color\n\t, • Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1990-$2130\n\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n\n\n\t, • Active Illinois RN license or proof of application in progress\n\t, • BLS certification (AHA required)\n\t, • At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience\n\t, • Strong post-operative care and clinical critical thinking skills\n\t, • Excellent bedside manner and collaborative teamwork abilities\n\n\nMed/Surg RN Responsibilities\n\n\n\t, • Deliver high-quality nursing care to post-op surgical, trauma, and overflow medical patients\n\t, • Perform dressing changes, wound care, IV therapy, pain management, and manage drains, NG tubes, central lines, and TPN\n\t, • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including charge nurses, patient care techs, and respiratory therapists\n\t, • Float to similar medical/surgical units as needed based on experience\n\t, • Document patient care accurately using EPIC\n\t professionals and the facilities that need them nationwide.
