Job Description Who We Are Bach to Rock, “America’s Music School” is a modern music school for future stars and/or for people of all ages who want to learn how to play an instrument for fun. Students learn what they enjoy playing whether it’s, classical, country, pop, opera, Broadway, rock n roll and everything in between. We offer one on one lessons with pro musicians, bands, glee club, DJ lessons and even a recording studio. Additionally, students can rock on stage at live events. We are a family owned and locally operated national music franchise and we are seeking a highly energetic site director to help grow our music school. The Site Director must have exceptional sales and customer service skills and enjoy working with music, children, parents and adults. Position Overview The Bach to Rock Site director is responsible for leading daily operations, managing staff, driving enrollment growth, organizing community performance opportunities, and delivering an exceptional experience for students and families. You are essentially the brand ambassador of Bach to Rock. This role recruits, hires, manages and evaluates staff across all instruments and programs, including the assistant site director, drums, guitar, bass, keys/piano, vocals, brass, string, woodwinds, Band Program, DJ beat refinery, early childhood programs, performance programs, camps, birthday parties and shows. The Site Director will partner closely with ownership and the assistant site director to maintain instructional quality, assist with development and implementation of marketing/advertising strategies, ensure a strong program mix, financial discipline, sustainable growth, and exceptional customer experience. Roles & Responsibilities • Provide an exceptional experience for students and families, driving engagement, retention, and enrollment growth. Must be able to follow up on leads immediately through phone calls and website., • Build relationships within the local community by networking with businesses, service organizations, and educational institutions, PTA’s etc. to increase visibility and create enrollment and performance opportunities., • Deliver top-quality customer service, including oversight of payroll, billing accuracy, collections, and retail sales in timely fashion and clear communication., • Monitors school’s budget and expenditures, • Monitors student and faculty attendance and ensures timely implementation of all schedules., • Ensures the development and management of complex schedule of classes, staff, faculty and students via the Harmony system., • Recruit, hire, onboard, and train staff members to ensure success in their roles and alignment with school goals., • Act as liaison with the owner/franchisee/manager of the facility or complex in which the school is located., • Responsible for supervision and timely opening and closing of the school., • Responsible for retail space being maintained, restocked and regularly inventoried., • Responsible for site being cleaned, organized and repaired at all times., • Promote and foster a welcoming and respectful environment for students, families, and staff., • Deliver measurable results through management of educational and business Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)., • Oversee marketing, sales, and promotional initiatives to drive enrollment and overall school performance., • Manage the school’s financial performance, including analyzing data, controlling labor costs, and monitoring expenses., • Oversee successful show production, tours, and performance opportunities., • Manage staff and facilities to ensure a safe and compliant learning environment., • Conduct performance evaluations and make training, disciplinary, and termination decisions in accordance with company policy., • Travel to venues and events as required., • Assist in opening brand-new school. Under the ADA, reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • 3+ years’ work experience in management, sales, marketing, or customer service-related role., • Strong experience recruiting and managing staff., • A deep interest in music and music education., • Musical training beyond the amateur level in at least one instrument is preferred/not required., • Ability to interface successfully and personally with the public., • Exceptional interpersonal skills are required to facilitate good working relationships with faculty and staff and to interact with students of all ages and parents., • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse constituents., • Knowledge of accounting/bookkeeping procedures/ Experience reviewing and managing a P&L or budget., • Effective time management and organizational skills., • Ability to operate basic office equipment, i.e., telephones, photocopiers and computers., • Adaptable to changes in the workplace., • Ability to work independently and as a team player., • Ability to use all relevant computer software (Microsoft Office, etc) proficiently, and the ability to learn to use B2R’s specialized systems., • Ability to be physically present at the school during its hours of operation., • Must possess own working vehicle., • Ability to pass a background check., • Excellent customer service skills., • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and proven problem-solving skills., • A collaborator who works well across diverse populations., • Strong work ethic, integrity, and leadership skills., • Bachelor’s degree required (i.e., business, management, music, education etc.)., • Business management and administrative experience is required., • Record keeping and time tracking experience is required., • Supervisory experience is required., • Event planning experience., • Must be proficient in English speaking and writing skills.
