Job Description Associate Development Executive Grade: 5 - Overime Exempt Reports to: Chief Development Officer (CDO) Position Description: The Associate Development Executive supports the Twin Rivers Council’s fundraising operations and events. This position works closely with the Chief Development Officer and Chief Executive Officer to coordinate logistics and accurate record keeping for the Council’s fundraising operations while securing funding through grants, direct mail, and other annual fundraising opportunities. Key Responsibilities: • Maintains, organizes, and provides accurate record keeping and reporting through our donor database management system., • Leading the Council’s stewardship efforts in preparing timely acknowledgments, thank-you notes, and stewardship letters., • Provide support to the Council Alumni Committee., • Coordinating event logistics and support to the Distinguished Citizen Awards Dinner, golf outing, and sporting clays special event (seating charts, silent auction items, registration, ad books, signage, volunteers, etc.)., • Research and present additional funding opportunities to help develop and grow the Council’s annual support goals., • Provide support to the Chief Development Officer and Chief Executive Officer with donor research, proposals, and support documentation., • Supporting annual giving efforts such as year-end mailings, giving Tuesday, direct mail, un-renewed donors, pledge collection/reconciliation, and donor engagement projects., • Securing, renewing, and reporting all Twin Rivers Council grant opportunities., • Maintain confidentiality with sensitive donor information., • Working with the Chief Development Officer and Chief Executive Officer, provide leadership to the staff and volunteers to maintain positive and professional branding standards., • Other duties as assigned by the Chief Development Officer and Chief Executive Officer. Desired Traits and Skill Sets: • Detail-oriented and accurate in data entry and reporting., • Strong collaborator with staff, volunteers, donors, and community partners., • Event logistics readiness and ability to multi-task under pressure., • Ability to communicate effectively., • Strong time management and organizational skills., • Ability to manage conflict and pivot to move the mission of Scouting forward., • Can cultivate, recruit, and inspire volunteers., • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM database preferred., • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills., • Self-starter and goal driven. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University or equivalent career experience., • 2-3 years of nonprofit, administrative, or event coordination experience., • Understanding and accepting this position could potentially require more than 40 hours per week and involve nights and weekends., • Ability to travel both locally and nationally for conferences and meetings., • Commitment to the mission and values of Scouting America and live by the Scout Oath and Law.
