Job Description Job Title: Warehouse Worker Location: West Sacramento, CA Pay: $20/hr - $23/hr Shift: Monday - Friday (8AM - 5PM) Job Description This Warehouse role focuses on fabricating, inspecting, and assembling wire, chain, and synthetic rope products to meet high-quality standards and precise customer specifications. You work in a warehouse environment, accurately identifying different diameters and constructions of rope and related products used in industries such as construction, energy, mining, crane operation, space and aeronautical applications, and deep-sea recovery and rescue. Responsibilities • Review and interpret drawings, blueprints, and capacity tables to determine product specifications and assembly requirements., • Understand and follow codes, specifications, and instructions as outlined on order tickets., • Calculate wire rope cut lengths and fitting requirements, and identify the appropriate equipment needed to produce various wire, synthetic rope, and chain assemblies., • Perform splicing of wire rope and fabricate chain slings according to quality and safety standards., • Set up, operate, and monitor industrial swaging machines, proof testing machines, and forklifts as required for production., • Attach accurate and legible tags and labels to finished products to ensure proper identification and traceability., • Maintain accurate inventory records for materials, components, and finished goods., • Identify and report defective or substandard materials, supplies, or products to help maintain quality standards., • Assist with shipping and receiving of goods, including loading, unloading, picking, packing, and order picking as needed., • Keep the work area, equipment, and tools clean, organized, and in safe working condition., • Follow all safety guidelines and strictly adhere to safety requirements, procedures, and the company’s Stop Work policy., • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as directed., • Assist with deliveries when needed, including loading and unloading materials at various locations., • Work effectively as part of a team, supporting co-workers and assisting with other duties as required., • Report to work at the designated start time and manage your time effectively to meet production schedules., • Travel occasionally to various work sites or training locations as required., • Ability to review and interpret drawings, blueprints, and capacity tables., • Strong proficiency in basic math and reading to calculate measurements and follow written instructions., • Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure and digital micrometer., • Familiarity with industrial tools such as cutting machines, swagers, crimping tools, winches, and related equipment (preferred but strongly beneficial)., • Capability to operate or learn to operate forklifts, industrial swaging machines, and proof testing machines., • Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines., • Persistent, energetic, and reliable work ethic with a strong sense of responsibility., • Ability to maintain accurate inventory records and follow detailed procedures., • Capacity to lift up to 75 lbs routinely and perform physically demanding tasks safely., • Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills for cutting, splicing, and attaching fittings with precision., • Ability to bend, stretch, twist, reach, push, pull, and carry heavy objects repeatedly., • Capability to stand and walk for extended periods, with frequent bending or crouching., • Clear vision (with or without corrective lenses) and the ability to distinguish details for accurate assembly work., • Ability to hear warnings and communicate effectively in a noisy industrial environment., • Prior experience in construction, equipment, oil industry, warehouse, distribution, or general labor environments is preferred., • Experience with inventory, picking, packing, material handling, pallet jacks, order picking, unloading, and warehouse inventory is beneficial., • Comfort working in environments that may involve grease, metal dust, and exposure to extreme heat or cold., • Ability to use stomach and lower back muscles to support the body for long periods without excessive fatigue., • Strong teamwork skills and a professional, courteous attitude toward co-workers and customers., • Willingness to travel occasionally for training or to various work sites as needed. Work Environment This role is based in a warehouse and distribution center environment and is a full-time position with standard hours of Monday through Friday, totaling approximately 40 hours per week. You work primarily on your feet, standing and walking for extended periods, with frequent bending, stretching, twisting, and crouching to operate machinery and fit wire ropes into place. The work involves regular lifting of up to 75 lbs and handling of heavy materials using tools and equipment such as pallet jacks, cutting machines, swagers, crimping tools, winches, forklifts, and proof testing machines. You may be exposed to extreme heat or cold in the warehouse or outdoor conditions, as well as grease and metal dust, and you must be able to hear warnings and communicate over industrial noise. Personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel toe boots, is required in designated operations and production areas, and uniforms are provided. The position includes minimal travel, primarily for training or occasional visits to work sites, and may require overtime, night shifts, or weekend work during peak demand. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of West Sacramento, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
