Join our team and advance your career in North Carolina nursing jobs.\n \n\nJob Details\n\n • Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,710 - $1,800\n, • Location: Wilmington, NC (Zip: 28401) — Wilmington, North Carolina coastal area\n, • Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)\n, • Shift: Night, 3 x 12-hour shifts (18:45 – 07:15), 36 hours/week\n, • Unit: ED Holding Support (Float Pool) — Med/Surg Telemetry unit\n, • Patient Ratios: 1:6 for MS/Tele, 1:4 for PCU-level patients\n, • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend\n, • Orientation: 24 hours\n\n\nQualifications (Med/Surg Tele RN / Travel Nurse)\n\n, • Minimum 2 years recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience (clinical telemetry and med/surg care)\n, • Active RN license in North Carolina or Compact State required at time of start\n, • BLS and ACLS certifications required\n, • Experience with Epic electronic health record (EHR) preferred\n, • Must pass EKG testing prior to start\n, • Comfortable floating to ED, Med/Surg, and affiliate hospital units as needed\n, • Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)\n, • Ability to work 2 out of 3 major holidays if assignment covers holiday periods\n\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n, • Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients with a variety of medical and surgical diagnoses in the ED Holding Unit and float pool\n, • Monitor and manage telemetry, dysrhythmias, and rapid response situations (Telemetry RN duties)\n, • Administer blood products and manage peripheral/central lines, including PICC lines and feeding tubes\n, • Care for patients with renal failure, colostomy, tracheostomy, and chest tubes\n, • Utilize respiratory support equipment including CPAP/BiPAP, HFNC, and oxygen delivery systems\n, • Perform phlebotomy, wound care, and manage isolation precautions and infection control\n, • Float to other units based on census and skill set to provide staffing flexibility and clinical support\n, • Participate in Storm Team/Hurricane Team response as required during catastrophic events\n\n\nWhy Join This Travel Nurse Opportunity\n\n, • Gain diverse clinical experience in med/surg and telemetry nursing in a busy ED Holding Support environment\n, • Work nights with a supportive float team and opportunities to cross-train across units\n Planet Healthcare Job ID #469769.
