A major Minnesota institution has partnered with Beacon Hill Legal in their search for an Associate General Counsel for their in-house legal department. This iconic Minnesota company is privately owned and family-run. While the company consists of about 1,000 employees, the legal team is a tight-knit group of 5 who work collaboratively within their team as well as across divisions. They primarily operates in office but typically work from home once a week. As AGC, you will handle a broad range of legal matters but focus heavily on Commercial Real Estate leasing matters. As such, 8 years of CRE experience is required and qualified attorneys will feel comfortable handling lease transactions, purchase and sale transactions, and property management. Real estate litigation experience is also ideal, as this position will manage outside litigation counsel. Additional responsibilities include drafting and negotiating other types of contracts, providing legal guidance for security-related matters, and handling any insurance or bankruptcy matters, should they arise. This is a company that takes care of their employees and the legal team has very little turnover - one legal team member has worked there for over 25 years.
