This role will directly support the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) in conducting assessments for determination of disability benefits for Veterans applying for benefits from the VA. The Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Physician will perform face to face clinical assessments of the Veteran and provide assessment documentation on findings. These assessments will be conducted in a variety of assigned and agreed upon locations with set schedules. The Mid-Level Provider or Provider will perform an in-person visit with the Veterans to perform evaluations to complete the required Disability Benefits Questionnaire (DBQ) for submission to VA for eligibility determination. DBQs include questions that require direct clinical exam of the Veteran in the office (e.g., testing range of motion of joints, documentation of crepitus, etc.) which cannot be done via virtual encounter.
