The Mobile Pantry Representative is an integral member of the Food Bank of the Rockies (FBR) team and is responsible for coordinating all aspects of FBR urban and rural Mobile Pantry programs including the food menu, scheduling, agency, volunteer, and site coordination, and community outreach. Responsibilities will require regular travel and monitoring of Mobile Pantry operations to evaluate and build on the capacity of our Mobile Pantry programs. The Mobile Pantry Representative will ensure that regulations are executed in in accordance with United States Department of Agriculture (USDA)/Food Nutrition Services (FNS), Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS), Food Bank of the Rockies, Feeding America (FA) policies, and all other applicable government regulations and guidelines. We provide food and necessities to people in need through signature programs and by teaming up with hundreds of Hunger Relief Partners to serve communities across Colorado and Wyoming. Primary Responsibilities: • Provide data to Direct Services Lead and Leadership to inform budgetary decisions for the program, • Conduct trainings and delegates tasks to interns and temporary employees as applicable, • Create distribution calendars shared internally and externally, • Evaluate, screen, and recruit site sponsors to participate in Mobile Pantry distribution with Food Bank of the Rockies, • Develop and conduct site coordinator and volunteer training, as needed and appropriate., • Review of and coordinate educational, marketing, and networking activities for sites, • Place inventory orders for each Mobile Pantry distribution in coordination with the Operations department, • Follow order and distribution process, • Practice acceptable fiscal management by operating within the constraints of the department’s adopted annual budget, • Monitor grant funding balances on a monthly and quarterly basis, • Frequently visit sites to ensure program compliance, improve partner service, develop pantry capacity, enhance partner/site coordinator and client service, • Utilize client intake software, Link2Feed, to report client demographics and report site specific data, • Participate in Link2Feed training and roll-outs as needed, • Track, review, and monitor Mobile Pantry sites to ensure that each site is in compliance with food safety, Mobile Pantry guidelines, and government program regulations, • Ensure thorough communication with FBR departments including Transportation, Operations, partners, and site coordinators., • Respond to requests (when applicable) and assist in the enrollment of any new Mobile Pantry sites, • Take appropriate action with any grievances or non-compliance issues in regards to Mobile Pantry practices, standards, policies, or regulations, • Strategically plan and implement campaigns with the objective of increasing food distributed across the Denver metro and eastern rural counties, • Create regular e-communications to site coordinators, including hosting a quarterly town hall, • Participate in community meetings and other outreach events to achieve the following:, • Build awareness of Food Bank of the Rockies Hunger Relief Partners and programs, • Increase participation and distribution of food, • Recruit Mobile Pantry volunteers in collaboration with the Volunteer Operations Team, • Assist with Mobile Pantry distribution events, • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive and privileged neighbor information and protects organization operations Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Commitment to fulfilling Food Bank of the Rockies mission and positively representing the brand both internally and externally, • Ability to provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with a wide range of constituents, • Able to interact with others in a diplomatic, courteous and positive manner, • Intermediate to advanced computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite), • Strong data entry skills, • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, • Comfortable with public speaking and delivering training sessions Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Sitting and standing for long periods, walking intermittently, • Using office equipment such as computer, mouse, keyboard, printer, • Indoor office environment, occasionally; outdoor work environment frequently, • Occasionally lift or move up to 40 pounds, • Frequently operating and navigating a vehicle within Denver metro and rural communities (up to 80% of the time) Required Qualifications: • High School Diploma or equivalent required, Associate degree or equivalent preferred, • Minimum 1 year of experience with projects or programs coordination, • Ability to work with in a diverse environment, prior experience working with low-income communities preferred, • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and online technologies, • Experience using collaborative tools for file storage and sharing, meeting scheduling, and virtual collaboration preferred, • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a bonus, • Must possess a valid driver’s license Expected Hours of Work: This is a non-exempt, full-time position working approximately 40 hours per week. Monday to Friday 8:00 am – 4:00 pm to align with our mobile pantry schedule. There will be an occasional Saturday and early evening hours expected; hybrid schedule may be available. Local travel only, no overnight trips are required. Travel within the geographic region will be required and is primarily local during the business day.
