San Antonio
SA Picture Day | San Antonio, TX Metro | 1099 Independent Contractor | 100% Commission SA Picture Day is hiring an independent outside sales representative to help us grow our school, dance, gymnastics, cheer, and daycare picture day business across the San Antonio area. This is a commission-only role for someone who already knows how to create conversations, build local trust, and close relationship-driven B2B accounts. It is not a salaried job, and it is not a fit for someone who needs a guaranteed paycheck in the first 30-60 days. The right person can build a local book of repeatable accounts. Many studios do not book only once. A single good account may schedule spring portraits, fall portraits, recital coverage, team media days, hype reels, or special events in the same year, with future renewal opportunities after that. What SA Picture Day Does SA Picture Day is a San Antonio-based volume photography and video company serving schools, daycares, dance studios, gymnastics academies, cheer programs, and youth organizations. We handle the photography, video, editing, online galleries, parent communication, order delivery, customer support, and technical systems. You help us find and close the organizations that want a better picture day and media partner. Our core offer is simple: modern picture day and video services with less work for the organization, a better experience for families, and professional media they can use throughout the year. What You Will Sell • Picture days for dance, gymnastics, cheer, daycare, and school accounts, • Recital and event photography, • Studio and school hype reels, • Media day services, • Supplemental school photography and video services and yearbooks Our first priority is studios and youth activity businesses in the San Antonio metro, because those accounts often move faster and may book multiple events per year. Schools are also part of the role, but they usually have a longer sales cycle. What You Will Do • Prospect local studios, daycares, private schools, and youth organizations, • Call, email, and visit prospects where appropriate, • Work SA Picture Day -provided lead lists and warm contacts when available, • Self-source new opportunities in the San Antonio area, • Run discovery conversations with owners, directors, principals, and administrators, • Present SA Picture Day services clearly, • Keep accurate CRM notes so lead ownership, handoff, and commission tracking are clean, • Hand off closed accounts clearly to the SA Picture Day delivery team You control your schedule and methods as an independent contractor. Accurate CRM documentation is required for lead ownership, client handoff, and commission tracking. What We Provide • Product onboarding and offer training, • Lead lists and warm contacts where available, • Sales scripts, outreach examples, and objection handling, • Demo galleries, landing pages, videos, and collateral, • CRM access, • Dedicated phone line and answering service., • Technical support, sales platforms, and SaaS tools needed for the role, • Founder support on qualified later-stage calls or in-person visits when useful, • Clear commission agreement before work begins, • Commission reporting with payouts This is not an empty-territory commission role. You are building from an existing local brand, real service delivery, usable sales assets, and founder support. Compensation This is a 1099 independent contractor role with no base salary, no draw, no employee benefits, and no PTO. Starting commission is expected to be 10%-15% of collected revenue from accounts you close, depending on lead source and deal type. Higher commission tiers up to 20% may be available after proven self-sourced closes, clean CRM documentation, and smooth handoffs. As a simple example: if an account generates $5,000 in collected parent sales, starting commission would typically pay $500-$750. Higher tiers may apply after performance is proven. Many studio accounts are expected to generate roughly $5,000-$15,000 per event or season, depending on size, participation, and services booked. Some studios book multiple events per year, so one good account can create several commissionable opportunities before renewal income is even considered. Renewal commission may continue for up to 12 months after separation on accounts you personally originated and closed, unless the agreement ends for cause. Exact commission terms are defined in writing before work begins. Recoverable advances may be available after a new account signs and schedules a picture day. This Is A Fit If • You have real outbound sales experience, • You are comfortable making cold calls and walking into local businesses, • You can build trust with studio owners, daycare directors, school leaders, and administrators, • You are warm, direct, organized, and persistent, • You can handle rejection without losing composure, • You can keep a pipeline current without being chased, • You have reliable transportation for local meetings, • You understand commission-only sales and have enough runway for the ramp, • You want to help build a repeatable book of business, not chase one-off transactions This Is Not A Fit If • You need a guaranteed paycheck in the first 30-60 days, • You want a W-2 role, benefits, or a salary backstop, • You avoid cold outreach, • You dislike CRM notes or pipeline discipline, • You expect leads to be handed to you fully ready to close, • You want to sell competing photography or video services, • You want to cross-sell unrelated offers into SA Picture Day leads or clients, • You are looking for a creative photography job instead of a sales role You may have other work, but you may not represent competing photography/video services or sell unrelated offers into SA Picture leads, clients, or CRM contacts.
