Job Description Job Title: Production Supervisor II Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM, Monday–Friday Pay: $85,000 – $95,000 Job Description The Production Supervisor II oversees daily manufacturing operations across multiple production lines, ensuring that safety, quality, productivity, and employee performance standards are consistently met. This role provides hands-on leadership to production teams, supports troubleshooting of equipment and process issues, coordinates closely with maintenance and other departments, and drives continuous improvement initiatives within a high-volume manufacturing environment. Responsibilities • Supervise production employees across multiple lines and ensure schedules, work orders, and materials are in place to meet production goals., • Monitor safety, quality, and productivity standards and ensure compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements., • Troubleshoot equipment and production issues and partner with maintenance and engineering teams to implement effective corrective actions., • Train, coach, and develop production staff, including leads and new hires, while conducting performance reviews and providing regular feedback., • Serve as a backup operator when needed to maintain production flow and minimize downtime., • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, maintenance, quality, and leadership, to support efficient operations., • Drive continuous improvement efforts focused on efficiency, product quality, and workplace safety., • Oversee production activities such as assembly, compounding, packing, and other hands-on manufacturing tasks as needed., • Promote adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other quality system requirements., • Ensure proper use of hand tools, material handling equipment, and other production resources to support safe and efficient operations. Essential Skills • High school diploma or equivalent., • 5+ years of manufacturing or production experience., • Previous supervisory experience leading production teams., • Experience training and developing employees in a manufacturing setting., • Strong mechanical aptitude and proven troubleshooting skills., • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and production reporting systems., • Experience with MRP/ERP systems, with MS Dynamics AX experience preferred., • Ability to lift up to 55 lbs., • Ability to work overtime or weekends as needed., • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills., • Experience in production supervision, manufacturing supervision, or production management roles. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Associate's degree is preferred., • Experience in manufacturing, composites, aerospace, industrial production, or similar high-volume production environments., • Experience leading teams in quality-driven environments such as AS9100, ISO, GMP, or similar regulated operations., • Forklift and pallet jack experience preferred., • Background in assembly, compounding, packing, and other hands-on production activities., • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)., • Experience in roles such as Production Supervisor, Production Manager, Manufacturing Supervisor, or Manufacturing Manager. Work Environment This role is based in a manufacturing environment operating on a second shift from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday through Friday. You will work on and around multiple production lines that involve activities such as assembly, compounding, packing, and material handling. The position requires regular use of hand tools and interaction with production equipment, with occasional use of forklifts and pallet jacks where qualified. The environment emphasizes adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other quality standards, with a strong focus on safety, cleanliness, and efficiency. The role involves standing for extended periods, moving materials, and lifting up to 55 lbs, and may require overtime or weekend work to meet production demands.
