Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Labor and Delivery, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 10/27/2025, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, days, • Employment Type: Travel Job ID #34211601 🩺 L&D RN – 12-Hour Days Facility: CommonSpirit-affiliated (exact location not listed) Setting: Acute Care – Labor & Delivery Trauma Level: I Contract Length: 13 weeks (91 days) Shift: 0630 – 1900 (Day Shift) Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week 🔍 Unit Details • Beds:, • 16 Labor Rooms, • 9 Antepartum Rooms, • 7-bed Triage Unit, • 3 ORs (for C-sections), • 36-bed Postpartum unit, • Birth Volume: Up to 400 births/month, • EFM System: Obix, • Charting: Epic, • Staffing Ratios (AWHONN guidelines):, • 1:1–2 for laboring patients, • 1:2–3 antepartum👶 Patient Profile, • High-risk OB + routine obstetric patients, • Common Drips:, • Pitocin, • Magnesium Sulfate, • IV pain medications, • Float Expectation:, • Will float to Postpartum, • May float to house to act as sitter (no patient load)👩⚕️ Team & Support, • Charge Nurse: Yes, both shifts, • OB Techs: 2 per shift, • In-House Coverage:, • 3 OB residents + 1 supervising MD, • CRNAs in-house 24/7, • RT Available: Yes (nasal cannula only – RN may troubleshoot), • No central monitor techs – telemetry mainly in post-op C-section recovery📝 Job Requirements, • Certifications (Required):, • BLS, • NRP, • Intro to Fetal Monitoring, • Experience:, • Must be able to circulate in the OR, • Must be competent in normal newborn assessments, • Must be comfortable with routine baby care, • Experience in high-risk L&D preferred, • Orientation: 2–3 unit-based shifts📋 Policies & Notes, • Radius Rule:, • Must live 50+ miles away, • Must not work FT, PT, or PRN at any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility, • Driver’s license required with submission, • Artificial Nails: Not allowed, • Refusal to remove = contract termination, • RTO Policy:, • Max 7 days for full contract, • All time off must be submitted upfront, • Weekend Requirement:, • Every 3rd weekend (but may be every other, depending on need), • Holiday Requirement:, • 1 major, 1 minor, • Scrubs: Surgical scrubs provided, • Strong in circulating ORs, • Experienced in both L&D and Postpartum/newborn care, • Adaptable, team-oriented, and eager to take on new challenges, • Familiar with AWHONN ratios, fetal monitoring, and Mag/Pit drips About Nationwide Therapy Group NTG is a proud partner with healthcare professionals across the country.
