This role offers a structured schedule, consistent operating room experience, and a strong compensation package including a sign-on bonus. POSITION OVERVIEW • Direct hire, full-time position, • Acute care hospital setting, • Orthopedic surgical focus, • Operating room environment with interdisciplinary support, • Day shift: 10-hour shifts (0700–1730), • Schedule: Monday–Friday, • On-call required:, • 1–2 weeknights per week, • 1 weekend per month (Friday end of shift through Monday morning), • Holiday call as needed, • Call response time: 30 minutes, • Guaranteed 40 hours per week, • Manager-created schedule with consideration for time-off requests, • Sign-on bonus: $15,000, • 2-year commitment required, • Scrub and assist in orthopedic surgical procedures, • Maintain sterile field and adhere to all OR safety protocols, • Prepare surgical instruments and equipment for procedures, • Support surgeons and surgical team during operations, • Assist with patient positioning and intraoperative needs Experience & Skills • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist required, • Minimum 1 year of orthopedic surgical experience required, • Scrubbing experience required, • Experience in total joints, arthroscopy, trauma, and fracture cases preferred, • BLS certification required, • Graduate of an accredited Associate Surgical Technologist program or military equivalent required, • NCCT certification accepted, • BLS certification, • Proof of graduation from Surgical Technologist program or military training documentation, • NCCT or NBSTSA certification (preferred), • Orthopedic surgical patients including:, • Total joints (hip, knee, shoulder), • Arthroscopy (knee, shoulder, hip, wrist), • Hand procedures, • Pediatric orthopedic cases, • Charge nurse and circulating RN support available, • House supervisor available 24/7, • OR tech support staff present, • Scrubs provided onsite, • Floating possible but not common, • May float to General, Pediatrics, Neuro, or Cardiac OR, • Most common assignment: General OR, • Consistent weekday schedule with structured hours, • Specialized orthopedic surgical experience, • High-volume, skill-building environment, • Strong sign-on incentive and relocation support
