Key Requirements: Friendly demeanor- able to greet and serve customers in a friendly manner Ability to stand for a long time Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks Familiar with industry’s best practices Dedication to teamwork Responsibilities Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies Answer, report and follow Managers instructions Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards Prepares dining room for patrons by setting tables and stocking all necessary supplies prior to the beginning of service Maintains table settings by removing finished courses and replenishing utensils as necessary Refilling water glasses Supports wait staff by assisting them with delivery of food and retrieval of any supplies they may require Maintains a clean and sanitary bussing station Ensuring the availability of clean dishes by bussing tables, washing dishes, pots, pans, and flatware, and resetting dining areas. Preparing dining areas and kitchen for next shift by cleaning and restocking dining areas and cook stations. Disposing of the trash at close of restaurant Must be able to lift 50lbs minimum Responsible for cleaning restrooms throughout the shift and maintaining cleanliness of Indoor and Outdoor Dining areas • You must be legal to work in the United States Pay Frequency: Weekly Tips Included

What You’ll Do Enthusiastically educate guests about our menu and assemble orders as requested Keep the serving line, dining room, and restrooms clean and organized Follow recipes and procedures to maintain food quality and consistency Adhere to safety and sanitation procedures Restock stations and keep them clean and organized Ensure the overall cleanliness of the restaurant Deliver a delicious, unique, and memorable experience to each of our guests Put deliveries away, plus any additional duties assigned Ability to cross train across the restaurant to ensure rapid growth May stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds Assist with any additional duties assigned Physical Requirements: Must be able to bend and reach overhead often Must possess dexterity to handle tongs, pots/pans, and other equipment Must be comfortable working in temperatures ranging from hot to cold Must be comfortable working near open flames May be required to work in tight spaces Must maintain near constant communication with multiple people Close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision is required Must be able to sit, squat and kneel occasionally Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner May be required to occasionally work in outdoor weather conditions Benefits at CAVA?     Minimum Qualifications • One year experience as a cook working in an institutional kitchen., • Experience in preparing food and cooking meals for large groups (88+ persons), kitchen operations, and handling of kitchen equipment., • Applicant must have successfully completed the Health Academy Food Sanitation Course., • Applicant must be willing to work a schedule that includes one weekend day weekly. - Applicant must also be free of any contagious or communicable diseases (e.g., tuberculosis). Additional Desired Qualifications • Background in nutrition, catering or meal planning., • Bilingual (Spanish/English), • Experience working with older adults, formerly homeless, mental health or substance abusers, • Valid New York City driver's license, • Certified in basic First Aid and CPR. Job Description This position reports to the Head Chef.
