Artisan Council is seeking a Contract Producer for a two-month-long project to support our team, with experience in social media content production, including motion direction. Reporting to Artisan Council’s Creative Director and Senior Producer for the duration of the project, you will be goal, timeline, and analytically driven, and a team player, and demonstrate leadership and ownership of your work and resilience in the face of client feedback. You’ll be an integral part of this project, from conception, supporting on set direction, and contributing to content production initiatives while working collaboratively with team members to understand client needs, feedback, and timelines. What will you be responsible for during this project? • Lead end-to-end production management across 2-3 major deliverables cross-collaboratively with the lead Senior Producer, • Develop and maintain detailed production schedules, budget tracking, resource plans, vendor lists (crew, studios, equipment, post, colour, etc.)., • Collaborate with creative and account teams to translate creative briefs into actionable production plans; advise on logistics, staffing, location, permits, insurance, technical specs, talent/wrangling., • Manage procurement and vendor contracting (scoping, RFPs, quoting, negotiation, PO/contract issuance, invoice check-in) in coordination with agency operations/finance., • Lead production meetings (pre-prod, production, post-production); distribute meeting notes, action items, status updates., • Track and report on budget vs actuals; flag risks, drive course-correction or scope-adjustments as needed., • Ensure deliverables adhere to agency/brand quality standards; liaise with post-production, design, motion, editorial to ensure timing, file formats, hand-off., • Serve as primary contact for production issues: schedule delays, budget overruns, vendor performance, creative changes — and drive solutions., • Close-out each production: final budget reconciliation, vendor payments, asset archiving, lessons-learned debrief. What kind of skills should you have? Please note carefully. Applicants without this experience will not be considered. • 6+ years of production experience (agency, post-production house or in-house) including leadership of complex productions (video, experiential, content ops)., • Proven track record managing multi-asset campaigns / productions in fast-paced agency environments., • Excellent budgeting, scheduling, vendor-management and contract-management skills., • Strong communication skills: able to bridge creative, account, technical, operations stakeholders., • Highly organised, detail-oriented and comfortable juggling multiple projects concurrently under tight timelines., • Familiar with production and post-production workflows (shoot logistics, location/scouting, equipment/crew, editing, motion graphics, deliverable specs)., • Adept at identifying risks early and proactively driving solutions., • Comfortable with agency tools (Excel/Google Sheets for budgets, scheduling tools, vendor databases, etc.)., • Ability to adapt quickly: this is a short-term contract, so you must hit the ground running and ramp fast.
