THE DEPARTMENT The Finance department is overseen by the Chief Financial Officer. Our mission is to both protect and grow the business. The department consists of five groups: Revenue Accounting, Accounts Payable, General Accounting, Cost Accounting and Oracle Financial System Support. The group is responsible for providing strategic insight and supporting our strategic imperatives through several critical processes including the monthly, quarterly, and annual publishing of financial results, preparing travel agent commissions, processing vendor invoices, credit card processing, tax compliance, treasury, cost accounting, completing operational transactions, and financial analysis. THE ROLE OF DIRECTOR A director is usually a department or division head in a business. The director supervises and leads a group of managers and associates in a particular area of an organization. Directors help set where and when; guiding others on what and why. Directors are responsible for the how in implementation. Job responsibilities of a director include: • Direct management or direct reports in deployment of company strategy, goals & mission, • Evaluating associates periodically for promotions and career opportunities, approving ratings, • Supervising managers during certain projects, • Developing and implementing policies for executives to review, • Reporting to senior-level leadership such as a Senior Director or VP, • Planning, directing and coordinating department strategic efforts and day-to-day processes, including assigning tasks and giving direction to subordinates, • Understanding and creating department budgets for upper management, • Evaluating and developing strategies and plans for departmental success, • Ensuring a healthy work environment and lead the culture for their associates and managers, • May interact with global offices, • Approve hiring and termination requests, • Collaborating with other business leaders and teams on cross functional strategic projects and developing departmental plans that support such projects, • Project management of the various projects within their department, • Relationship point of contact for vendors and other external stakeholders that impact their departments, • Synthesizes data and information to make recommendations to upper management on strategic or high-value initiatives, • Accountable for achievement of team/department’s goals, • Partners with senior management on broader departments people and succession strategy, • Direct experience in their field 5-10 years THE ROLE The Treasury Director establishes and implements organizational treasury policies, governing cash flow and liquidity, debt and credit, interest rate or currency risk, investing and forecasting, and relationships with banks or other financial institutions. They also develop treasury strategies that ensure liquid funds are available for current capital needs, and develops long-term cash management or investment plans that both preserve capital and support strategic goals. THE POSITION • Optimize liquidity, monthly treasury operations and group cash flow, • Manage all cash management functions including cash concentration, wires and account funding, • Ensure adequate liquidity for working capital needs and invest short-term excess cash; manage inter-company cash including inter-company cash flows, • Review, approve and release electronic disbursements, • Develop and implement treasury policies, procedures and controls, • Lead the treasury month-end close process including the review and accurate recording of weekly cash activity to the general ledger, • Supervise maintenance and update signatories on bank accounts, • Oversee the monthly reconciliation of all bank accounts, • Review and approval of ACH and wire payments, • Daily cash positioning and reporting, • Track cash investment activities, • Troubleshoot daily transaction issues, • Manage corporate credit card programs, • Assist with foreign currency hedging at a local and group level, • Initiate and manage projects to improve local and global cash flow, • Protect the company’s financial assets, • Ensure proper controls exist over cash receipts, disbursements and general treasury activities, and support overall compliance, • Create and manage, and ensure accuracy of the cash flow forecast, • Work closely with CFO and parent company to establish timelines, and deliverables, • Work closely with CFO and business stakeholders to create assumptions for Cash Flow model, • Create/Analyze/Communicate KPI’s that cash flow and provide reporting to drive business decision making, • Analyze/Review Cash flow models of other markets, challenging appropriateness of assumptions, make recommendations of changes, communicate with other Finance Leads, • Perform the consolidation of group Cash Flow, provide related reporting and analysis (variance analysis, KPI’s, etc), • Provide input into needed changes to the structure of Cash Flow model, or modelling to calculate related inputs, • Provide relevant KPI reporting to Executive management, • Manage banking relationships and platforms, • Develop, implement and maintain bank account structures, • Manage all relationships with financial institutions supporting company’s cash management operations, • Implement new bank technologies, products and services to improve the cash cycle and simplify company operations, • Negotiate bank and service fees, • Optimize payment methods, and collateral and security requirements, • Identify, promote and implement most cost-effective methods to pay vendors, • Identify, promote and implement most cost-effective method to provide required collateral/security where needed (LC’s, CD’s, deposits etc), • Manage Credit Card Processor relationships and customer payment methods, • Manage fees, contract renewals, processor changes when needed, • Work with processor to identify efficiencies/cost savings, • Explore opportunities for customers to pay other than by credit card to reduce credit card fees where possible, • Manage insurance programs, • Manage the insurance program renewal process, and additional lines of coverage, • Identify when RFP’s might be needed, • Manage requests for proof of insurance, • Work with TVI on opportunities for global programs that may save on premium costs, • Support Human Resources to manage 401(k), Profit-sharing plans, • Oversee and support the Payroll team through supervision, • Support system updates for new processes, or new system implementations, • Be a Finance lead on all new system implementations that impact business cash flow or financial processes, working with project managers/teams to assess go/no-go criteria, business impacts etc., • Support overall team culture and development, • Manage team administration (PTO, promotions, workload delegation), • Set team goals, manage team budget, • Perform regular performance reviews and provide feedback, • Contribute to/participate in team building events, • Perform successions planning, cross training etc. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or similar, • At least 5 years recent work experience in Treasury, and experience in other finance-related fields such as FP&A and Accounting a plus, • At least 5 years work experience managing a team, including remote workers, and partnering with senior management, • Work experience involving payroll, insurance, global treasury management platforms, and accounting preferred, • Experience working with Oracle Financials, Onestream or similar accounting systems, • Experience working with multiple currencies and foreign entities a plus, • Expert proficiency with MS-Excel, • Travel and hospitality experience a plus PREFERRED QUALITIES • Effective Communication across an
