Teledyne Battery Products is seeking a hands‑on Quality Assurance Manager to lead quality systems and continuous improvement initiatives in a regulated aerospace manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring products and processes meet AS9100, customer, and regulatory requirements while driving a strong culture of quality, accountability, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate is a working manager who enjoys being on the floor, in the lab, and partnering cross‑functionally to solve problems and improve outcomes. This is a full‑time, onsite role with hands‑on leadership responsibility. What you’ll do • Lead and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with AS9100 and ISO requirements, • Oversee Material Review Board (MRB) activities, dispositioning, and related documentation, • Plan and lead internal and external audits, manage corrective and preventive actions, and ensure ongoing regulatory compliance, • Drive continuous improvement using tools such as Root Cause Analysis, SPC, FMEA, Lean, and Six Sigma, • Conduct and support lab testing, receiving inspections, in‑process inspections, and failure investigations, • Investigate customer complaints, lead root cause analysis, and implement sustainable corrective actions, • Define and manage supplier quality standards, conduct supplier audits, and oversee supplier corrective actions, • Lead, mentor, and develop the quality team while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, • Partner cross‑functionally with operations, engineering, supply chain, and leadership to support business goals, • Monitor quality trends, regulatory updates, and industry best practices to proactively address risk, • Promote safety, professionalism, and compliance with company policies, including PPE requirements What you need • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5+ years of directly related experience (or equivalent combination), • Minimum of 3 years of people leadership experience, • Demonstrated knowledge of AS9100 and ISO quality systems, • Aerospace industry experience, • Experience working in a chemistry or manufacturing lab environment, • Internal and external ISO audit experience. AS9100 audit experience preferred., • DMIR certification or willingness to obtain, • Experience using ICP test equipment is highly desired, • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methodologies, • Strong problem‑solving, project management, and organizational skills in a fast‑paced environment, • Ability to clearly present technical information to employees, leadership, and customers, • Up to 10% domestic travel as needed, • Flexibility to support business needs, including occasional evenings or weekends, • Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee) What we offer • Competitive compensation, • Comprehensive health benefits, • 401(k) with company match, • Paid time off, • Tuition reimbursement What happens next Apply online through Teledyne’s careers page.
