Job Description Job Title: Electronics Engineer Department: Engineering Location: Redlands, CA. Compensation: Full time salary plus benefits. (Exempt Employee). Salary Range: Varies from these amounts based on education, relevant prior work experience, and other bona fide factors. QUALIFICATIONS • Education - Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering at an ABET-accredited university with coursework in Circuit Analysis and Embedded Systems (or related field) is required., • Experience - 0-2 years of electronic design experience (preferred), • Previous internship or Co-op experience (preferred), • Familiar with Linux, QT, programming SOMs and DSPs, and embedded system design (preferred), • Strong writing skills and ability to work on a team, • Excellent math skills JOB DUTIES Design, develop, and environmental monitoring instrumentation • Design electronic circuits with analog, digital, and optical components, • Program microcontrollers, SOMs, and DSPs, • High-Level Programming Languages, i.e., C++, C#, • Strong communication, planning, and organization skills, • Preparation of specifications, SOW, and test documentation, • Report engineering progress weekly, • Create and maintain design documentation, • Equipment hardware and software troubleshooting, • Collaborate effectively with other members of the design team., • Embedded Systems Design, • Electronic hardware troubleshooting on both new and legacy designs, • Experience in the design of opto-electronics and lasers is preferred Physical & Other Requirements • Must be able to type and use a computer, • Must be able to lift 20 lbs. from the floor to above your head, • Sitting for extended periods of time is required.
