Job DescriptionProduction Associate . Job Description This role focuses on supporting tire manufacturing operations in a new, growing warehouse by assembling tires, mounting and dismounting tires, and handling related materials and inventory. You work on an assembly line, help organize and move product such as rims and tire parts, and contribute to efficient storage, handling, and distribution processes within a third-party logistics environment. . Responsibilities • Assemble tires and perform mounting and dismounting of tires for tire manufacturers according to established procedures and safety standards., • Arrange and organize loose product in the warehouse, including rims and other tire components, to maintain an orderly and efficient workspace., • Load and unload empty containers and other materials, ensuring accurate placement and handling., • Work on an assembly line, consistently meeting production metrics and quality standards., • Sort supplies and materials to support smooth production and distribution workflows., • Perform general production, manufacturing, and material handling tasks as needed., • Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including packing, loading, and preparing products for shipment., • Support warehouse inventory activities such as picking, inventory control, and inventory management., • Use ERP or warehouse inventory systems, including SAP or similar tools, to help track and manage inventory when required., • Collaborate with team members, demonstrating strong initiative and a team-oriented mindset to achieve daily production goals., • For lead-level candidates: manage a small to medium-sized team on a day-to-day basis, providing direction and support., • For lead-level candidates: oversee inventory control for the team, ensuring accurate counts and proper documentation. . Essential Skills • At least 2 years of warehouse production experience., • Ability to lift 45 pounds or more on a regular basis., • Ability to mount and unmount tires from racks safely and efficiently., • Experience working on an assembly line in a production or manufacturing environment., • Experience with loading and unloading materials, containers, or trucks., • Background in general production, assembly, general labor, material handling, shipping and receiving, manufacturing, or warehouse operations., • Experience with warehouse inventory activities such as picking, inventory control, inventory management, packing, and packaging., • Comfort using ERP or warehouse inventory systems, including SAP or similar platforms., • Demonstrated ability to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment., • Strong teamwork skills and a high level of initiative. . Work Environment You work in a medium-sized, clean warehouse facility that is relatively new. The environment is non-air-conditioned, so you operate in both hot and cold conditions depending on the season. The current team size is about eight people, with plans to add more team members by the end of 2026 as operations grow. The standard schedule is a day shift, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with potential overtime extending the day to 7:00 p.m. based on production needs. Overtime may be required but is not guaranteed. The dress code includes covered shoes, a work shirt, and jeans, with no hats or jewelry allowed, supporting safety and professionalism on the warehouse floor. . . . . . . . . . . Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
