SUMMARY OF POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: The Social Work Supervisor (1099) at CWOMHC plays a critical role in mentoring, guiding, and clinically supervising a team of entitlements case managers, social work interns, and LMSWs or LGSWs pursuing clinical licensure. The supervisor is responsible for ensuring that clinical services are delivered ethically, effectively, and in alignment with Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners (BSWE) supervision standards and Medicaid/COMAR guidelines. This position is contracted on a fee-for-service basis, with compensation tied to clinical supervision hours provided and supervisory oversight duties completed. KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Clinical Supervision & Professional Development • Provide structured clinical supervision to:, • Entitlements Case Managers, with a focus on service planning and social determinants of health, • Social Work Interns from affiliated academic programs, • Pre-licensed Social Workers (LMSW/LGSW) working toward LCSW-C status, • Each supervision session should be structured as:During the session:, • Review Documentation (10 minutes): Evaluate all ICANotes completed by the supervisee since your last review, address any issues, and co-sign the batch, • Address Clinical Concerns (5 minutes): Discuss any challenges or concerns related to clinical practice, • Share Corporate Updates (5 minutes): Communicate relevant organizational updates impacting the supervisees role, • Review Client Engagement (5 minutes): Confirm that the supervisee is meeting the therapeutic needs of all assigned clients by adhering to their service schedule and ensuring continuity of care, • Document the Session (5 minutes): Record the supervision session details in Paycom, • Maintain all documentation and logs required by the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners (BSWE), • Provide constructive feedback, coaching, and professional development to improve supervisee performance, • Audit client documentation for clinical accuracy, completeness, and Medicaid/COMAR compliance, • Co-sign progress notes, assessments, and care plans for supervisees who are not independently licensed, • Ensure supervisees maintain real-time documentation and meet agency and payer deadlines, • Attend monthly clinical operations or supervision team meetings, • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to flag patterns in performance, service gaps, or training needs, • Provide input on program development and quality improvement initiatives related to care management and social work services, • Supervision sessions delivered in accordance with LCSW-C and BSWE regulations (minimum 1 hour biweekly per supervisee), • Timely completion of supervision documentation and co-signatures (within 48 hours), • Availability for consultation or live observation when needed, • Submission of monthly supervision logs and timesheets for invoicing, • Assist supervisor with work-related requests., • Collaborate with and serve as program POC for external treatment providers and outside agencies as needed., • Responsible for following regulations of COMAR, CARF, any other regulatory body, and company policies/ procedures related to service delivery and documentation and co-facilitating orientation of all new hires to these as well., • Support the maintenance of a safe environment by participating in training and drills as requested., • Maintain confidentiality of records relating to clients treatment., • Participate in external and internal audits/surveys (CARF/CSA/OHCQ) as directed by the supervisor., • Participates in quality assurance and performance improvement plans by completing periodic audits or other activities to ensure regulatory compliance and/or improve service delivery., • Primarily virtual/desk-based (tele-supervision and documentation), • Remote or hybrid (telehealth-capable) COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS: • Familiarity with ICANotes or other EHR platforms, • Experience working in outpatient mental health settings, • Active LCSW-C license in good standing with the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners (required), • Approved to provide clinical supervision by the Maryland BSWE, • Minimum 3 years post-licensure clinical experience in mental health or case management, • Experience supervising interns, social work staff, or case managers, • Strong documentation, organizational, and communication skills, • Knowledge of COMAR, Medicaid documentation standards, and entitlements navigation
