This role is responsible for performing high-quality blood specimen collection, preparing samples for laboratory testing, and ensuring a professional, compassionate patient experience.The PSR III demonstrates process excellence, attention to confidentiality, and accuracy while working independently across multiple locations. Assignments may include doctor’s offices, patient service centers, or other facilities as business needs dictate.Day-to-Day Responsibilities, • Perform forensic and clinical phlebotomy procedures following established protocols, • Collect blood specimens safely and accurately, including pediatric and geriatric draws, • Verify patient demographics and labeling accuracy post-venipuncture, • Prepare specimens for laboratory testing and transport, • Maintain required records and documentation, • Ensure compliance with safety, confidentiality, and quality standards, • Create a welcoming, professional environment for patients, • Support multiple sites with minimal notice as a floater resourceRequired Skills, • Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections, • Ability to deliver error-free work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, • Superior customer service and communication skills, • Sound judgment and decision-making abilityPreferred / Additional Skills, • Patient Service Center (PSC) experience, • Customer service experience in retail or service environments, • Keyboarding and data entry proficiencyCandidate Profile, • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, • Medical Training: Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred, • Certification: Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, and WA), • Experience:, • 3+ years phlebotomy experience required, • Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferredAdditional Requirements, • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record (if applicable), • Ability to handle multiple priorities and adapt to changing schedules, • Training locations may vary based on trainer availabilityBenefits, • Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans, • 401(k) Retirement PlanAbout the CompanyA leading provider of diagnostic information services, empowering healthier lives through insights derived from the world’s largest clinical laboratory database.
