OK-SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital - Oklahoma City\n \n \n \n Worker Type: Regular\n \n \n Job Summary: Performs the primary functions of a registered nurse in assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing and evaluating the care of all assigned patients.\n \n \n Job Responsibilities and Requirements: \n PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES \n\n • Supports the care of the patient and assesses and addresses the needs of the patient/family.\n, • Works collaboratively with other interprofessional team members in resolving patient/family problems, concerns and issues.\n, • Collaborates with other departments as needed to establish the patient/family treatment plan.\n, • Individualizes, implements, evaluates or updates the plan of care and patient educational needs regarding vascular access.\n, • Possesses the ability to complete intravenous insertion and assessment to include peripheral and central line access.\n, • Utilizes equipment such as point of care ultrasound equipment and intravenous infusion pumps as appropriate.\n, • Demonstrates proper interpretation of department specific policies and related laboratory results to safely manage specific patient needs.\n, • Implements, monitors and records patient care and communicates patient condition as appropriate. Takes appropriate actions to unanticipated changes in patient condition.\n, • Utilizes the Electronic Health Record (EHR) to access treatment and therapy plans.\n, • Applies the existing body of evidence-based practice and scientific knowledge in health care to nursing practice, ensuring that nursing care is delivered based on patient’s age-specific needs and clinical needs as described in the department's scope of service.\n, • Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.\n, • Performs other duties as assigned.\n\n \n EDUCATION \n\n • Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing\n\n \n EXPERIENCE \n\n • No experience required\n\n \n PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS \n\n • Constant use of speech to share information through oral communication.\n, • Constant standing and walking.\n, • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.\n, • Frequent sitting, reaching and keyboard use/data entry.\n, • Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.\n, • Frequent use of smell to detect/recognize odors.\n, • Frequent use of hearing to receive oral communication, distinguish body sounds and/or hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.\n, • Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.\n, • Occasional lifting/moving of patients.\n, • Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, gripping and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.\n, • Occasional driving.\n, • Rare crawling and running.\n\n \n REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL LICENSE AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS \n \n State of Work Location: Illinois \n\n • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) -
