Job DescriptionJob Summary: • Greets incoming customers, answers phone calls, and customer questions and requests., • Receive payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits., • Issue refunds, voids, or credits to customers with manager approval., • Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change., • Calculate total payments received during a time period and reconcile this with total sales., • Prepares and serves hot and cold beverages, such as coffee, blended coffee, and tea, to patrons; correctly customizes orders as requested., • Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas., • Complete general cleaning duties such as clean tables, chairs, and floors. Remove dirty dishes, set tables, replenish supply of clean linens, silverware, glassware condiments & bread. Empty trash cans., • Assist customers by providing information and resolving their complaints., • Restocking and rolling silverware and assist with stocking stations., • Answer questions related to drinks, menu, bakery and catering., • Check with guests to make sure that they are enjoying their meals and be initiative-taking to correct any problem., • Takes food and beverage orders and delivers them to the kitchen., • Delivers food, beverages, condiments, and other requested items to customers., • Ensures that food is prepared correctly and to customers satisfaction; returns incorrect or improperly cooked orders to kitchen., • Collects plates and clears the table as customers finish their meals., • Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills., • Well-organized with ability to take and place food and beverage orders accurately., • Ability to follow all safe food handling procedures and sanitation practices., • Ability to operate point-of-sale systems.Education and Experience:, • Previous experience as a server preferred., • Must successfully complete restaurants training course.Physical Requirements:, • Prolonged periods of standing and walking., • Must be able to lift, balance, and carry trays of food weighing up to 25 pounds., • Must be available to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
