SUMMARY Responsible for managing sales, business development, and relationships at the highest level for our National and large Key Distributors within the United States. Primarily responsible for maintaining and growing key customer relationships at the highest level, as well as corporate purchasing within these Key Distributors, as well as leading other Key Account Managers dedicated to Distributors. Seek new prospective sales opportunities within these Distributors to increase annual sales. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Supports all sales leaders and Account Managers in education and communication for continued growth in our National and large Key Distributors across the United States, • Supports all Account Managers to improve demand forecast accuracy for the National and Key Distributors for best production planning, • Leads the National and Large Key Distributor team to best cover the full relationships across the various customers while minimizing these customer’s concerns of any conflict of interest within SCT, • Represents SCT at national events within the National and large Key Distributors, • Resolves escalated customer issues and complaints regarding sales and service in a way that honors the customer and aligns with SCT’s mission, vision, and core values, • Manages National & large Key Accounts to develop and grow sales volume to achieve growth, hit sales targets, and meet overall annual budgeting requirements, • Participates in the development and implementation of a strategic business account plan for National and large Key Distributors that aligns with SCT’s overall business strategy, • Participates and leads sales presentations at customer events and industry tradeshows to promote SCT products, • Serves on the sales leadership team and works on strategic thoughts and initiatives as it relates to the overall sales strategy, • Leads conversations to educate existing or potential customers on our product lines to acquire and grow new business, • Maintains a deep understanding of customer needs and monitors their preferences, • Remains current with product and industry marketing trends, • Provides superior service to external and internal customers, • Assists with development of contracts and agreements for customers, • Submits plans and reports as needed by leadership and weekly expense reports, • Has strong work ethic with an understanding of and adherence to SCT’s core values in all business decisions and interactions, • Sets good example, acting in accordance with company culture and values, prioritizes effectively, uses good communication, and delivers results efficiently, • Maintains company vehicle, if provided, and communicates any maintenance needs, and has performed when necessary, • Follows all company policies and procedures, • Projects positive company image by interacting with fellow Team Members, customers and management in a cooperative, supportive and courteous manner; displays professional attitude; complies with company dress code, • Effectively and accurately cascades and communicates company information to Account Managers ensuring important information is provided and understood, • Cascades and communicates with individuals at all levels within the organization, • Documents assigned tasks as required, • Performs work according to supervisor's directives when requested, • Ensures a clean workplace daily, • Performs other duties as assigned SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Directly supervises four (4) to six (6) non-supervisory Sales Team Members to include Sr. Corporate Account Managers and Account Managers. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of designated unit(s). Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training Team Members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining Team Members; addressing complaints and resolving issues in compliance with any applicable employment law guidelines and upon consultation with the Chief Operating Officer, Director of Sales, Chief People Officer, Regional People Experience Manager, and/or People Business Partner if necessary. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree in business management or a related field required, preferably with sales experience in packaging and/or distribution. Minimum five years’ sales experience and three years of sales leadership experience, excellent relationship building skills, skilled at building rapport, opening doors, and understanding business requirements of customers at all levels required. Proficiency in MS Office applications - Word, Outlook, Excel software required. Strong analytical skills/logical reasoning ability, using data-driven reports to facilitate sales growth, provide forecasts to production planning teams, etc. Ability to prioritize, organize and multitask well, pay close attention to detail and effectively manage time, independent thinker/worker with strong initiative to lead/manage multiple projects under minimal supervision. Excellent public speaking and presentation skills and willingness to travel. Working knowledge of JD Edwards Enterprise One a plus. SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED • Excellent leadership and motivational skills throughout all levels of the organization within SCT and Customers, • Strong interpersonal and communication (both verbal and written) skills and ability to effectively deliver, reinforce consistent messages and influence others via communication to achieve desired results at all levels of the organization, • Excellent relationship-building skills, skilled at building rapport, opening doors, and understanding business requirements of customers at all levels., • Strong work ethic with an understanding of and adherence to SCT’s core values in all business decisions and interactions, • Excellent planning, organizational, time-management and prioritization skills, • Ability to work satisfactorily as a Team Member and communicate with all levels within the company, • Strong analytical skills/logical reasoning ability, using data-driven reports to facilitate sales growth, provide forecasts to production planning teams, etc., • Excellent public speaking and presentation skills and willingness to travel., • Independent thinker/worker with strong initiative to lead/manage multiple projects under minimal supervision, • Keen business acumen combined with strong fiscal awareness and understanding, • Ability to set, adjust and change daily priorities, • Ability to handle sudden changes in project/priority and multiple tasks simultaneously in a positive fashion, • Ability to manage conflict and resolve issues in the most positive fashion for all parties concerned, • Ability to identify problems or potential problems at both a strategic and functional level and/or make or recommend decisions to resolve the same, • Willingness to accept responsibility and take on new challenges, • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment on a customary and regular basis, • Adept at problem solving, • Ability to use calculator and other standard office equipment (fax, copier, etc.) OTHER REQUIREMENTS • Eighteen (18) years of age or older, • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, physical and background check., • Dependability, • Valid driver's license, • Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle, • Ability to travel frequently by air and land, • Required to carry $100,000/$300,000 liability insurance coverage on any personal vehicle used for company business. Mileage reimbursed for use of personal vehicle on company business through expense reports submitted to the company's accounting department., • Sufficient personal financial resources to make travel arrangements, etc. between monthly company reimbursement cycles. Approved expenses will be reimbursed. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, understand, and communicate to others the meaning of complex documents including legal documents, letters, etc. and write legibly in English.
