Job DescriptionJob Title: HVAC Residential Service Technician Job Description lWe are seeking an experienced HVAC Residential Service Technician to join our team in the West Hollywood, CA area. This role requires a highly skilled professional with expertise in diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and installing residential HVAC systems. The ideal candidate demonstrates technical mastery, solid troubleshooting skills, and customer service excellence. Responsibilities • Diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of residential HVAC systems including split systems, heat pumps, packaged units, ductless mini-splits, and zoning systems., • Conduct preventative maintenance and system performance checks to ensure efficiency and longevity., • Troubleshoot complex issues with refrigeration circuits, electrical components, airflow, controls, and indoor air quality systems., • Oversee and perform start-ups and system commissioning., • Interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, schematics, and recognize when assistance is needed., • Apply advanced knowledge of load calculations, static pressure testing, and refrigerant charging methods to diagnose issues., • Operate digital diagnostic tools, leak detection, and smart HVAC control systems., • Communicate clearly with homeowners, explaining technical issues in a professional and approachable manner., • Provide repair options, system upgrade recommendations, and cost-effective solutions., • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local codes, EPA regulations, and safety standards., • Follow OSHA, company, and manufacturer safety procedures during all work., • Minimum 7–10 years residential HVAC service experience at a lead technician level., • EPA Section 608 Certification (Universal required)., • Valid driver’s license., • Strong diagnostic ability with refrigeration, electrical, hydronic, and forced-air systems., • Proficiency in brazing, soldering, piping, wiring, and system retrofits., • Advanced understanding of HVAC system design, airflow balancing, and duct system optimization., • Familiarity with smart home integration, variable speed systems, and high-efficiency equipment., • Ability to perform heat load calculations and advise on system sizing., • Proven success in handling high-end, custom residential applications., • Exceptional problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills. Work Environment Work independently 85% of the time, making 4-6 calls a day within the service area of West Side Los Angeles, including Beverly Hills, Glendale, Venice, and Westchester.
