SUMMARY: Title: Food Service Worker Location: Commack, NY Pay Rate: $18.00/hour Cook: 7:30am-1:30pm M-F Food Service Worker: 9am-1:30pm M-F This position is responsible for making and serving nutritious meals for students in a safe and healthful manner. Be available Mon-Fri between 7:30 AM-2PM schedule varies depending on location starting immediately. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Prepares and packs food according to menus and in correct portion sizes as mandated by yield guides. Performs cleaning duties, cleaning of equipment and work areas, dish and pot washing. Delivers, when necessary, food to students and catering events. Complies with all state, federal, local health department requirements for safe food handling. Complies with all client location security protocols and guidelines. Checks and stores incoming supplies. Follows assigned break schedules. Collects and strips trays for dishwashing and participates in ware washing if assigned. Attends all mandatory in-service programs. Manages POS/cash handling if applicable for position ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Complies with all requirements of the mandated food handling certification requirements. Performs all other duties as assigned. Educate students on the rules of the sport and promote good sportsmanship. Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve. Ensure the safety of all participants during practices and events, including lifeguarding duties if applicable. Organize and lead competitions or events to showcase student skills. Maintain a clean and organized gym or training area. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other staff members regarding progress and any concerns. Skills: Strong background in sports coaching or physical education. Experience working with students of various ages in a coaching or educational capacity.
