Job Description Job Summary The Safety & Security Associate will promote a safe, secure, and welcoming campus environment where guests, tenants, staff, and community members of all backgrounds can come and enjoy our facilities. Ensure that everyone is following proper safety procedures and protocols and identify and eliminate any hazards that may be present in the workplace. This role is responsible for providing security detail outlined in the post orders and establishing working relationships with customers, local law enforcement, and fire departments. This position will always perform job duties with a constant awareness of surroundings, noting all activity in the assigned area, maintaining a professional image, and consistently demonstrating excellent customer service. This position will require flexibility with after-hours and weekend events and availability by personal cell phone and/or other similar communication devices as needed. Main Responsibilities • Be on time and report to post in full uniform., • Maintain a professional image that includes greeting customers, visitors, and employees politely and kindly., • Be proactive in knowing all revisions to post orders and general information from The Jones Center., • Continuously monitor cameras or equipment as outlined in the post orders., • Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, and access points. diligently report any suspicious activity and investigate accidents and criminal acts., • Maintain a working knowledge of all emergency policies, procedures, and regulations to respond to alarms, incidents, and emergencies., • Complete Daily Activity Reports, Logbook Entries, Incident Reports, and all relevant reports related to job assignments., • Make recommendations to management on better safety and loss prevention processes as identified during daily routine., • Know about any life safety systems, fire panels, CCTV system computers, and other equipment to complete job assignments. Ensure continuous and safe operation of all elevators and access doors. Know authorized contractor personnel who are responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of equipment., • Ensure training and compliance guidelines are met as outlined by The Jones Center., • Communicate daily with the Director of Safety and Security about any security issues or changes that need to be considered or implemented., • Assist managers and employees with the safety and security policies and processes., • Maintains the confidentiality of any information encountered., • Ability to perform First-Aid when necessary., • Defuse potential volatile situations and intervene when necessary. Shift Schedule: Saturday 8 am - 2:30 pm, Sunday 9 am - 5:30 pm, Monday 4 pm - Midnight, Tuesday 4 pm - Midnight Additional Responsibilities • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills., • Ability to be a hands-on, results-oriented employee, handling multiple priorities simultaneously., • Ability to facilitate progressive change, work as part of a team and follow directions., • Work with a sense of urgency., • Strong oral and written communication skills., • Constant and dedicated vigilance., • Reliable Transportation., • High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience., • At least one year of experience in a similar role., • CPR/First-AID Certified or ability to complete CPR/First-Aid Training., • Ability to remain stationary, occasionally standing or sitting for prolonged periods., • Ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally., • Ability to twist, turn, bend, stand, climb stairs, and walk as required to perform the duties associated with the role., • CPR/First-AID Certified or ability to successfully complete CPR/First-Aid Training., • Ability to participate and successfully complete self-defense classes.

Position Overview The primary responsibility of this position is to provide guests with a secure and positive experience at Walton Arts Center/Walmart AMP. Security guards will execute screening procedures and enforce policies designed to minimize risk and disruption of the event experience while ensuring a strong positive customer service interaction. Security guards are expected to uphold the values of the organization and to follow Walton Arts Center/Walmart AMP procedures related to interactions with guests. Requirements: Duties and Responsibilities • Provide a secure and positive first impression of Walton Arts Center/Walmart AMP by offering superior, individualized service. Monitor entry and exit points to specific areas of Walton Arts Center, including screening of guests' bags prior to entering the venue., • Provide Walton Arts Center/Walmart AMP Guests accurate event and facility information., • Enforce facility policies (i.e., no smoking, no re-entry) and procedures throughout the building., • Respond to emergencies as necessary., • Aid in direction of orderly evacuation of the building during emergencies., • Deal with patron problems and complaints up to the level where intervention by a Security Supervisor is required., • Minimum 1 year experience in a position where interacting with the public to provide services was a requirement of the job., • Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures and protocols., • Ability to remain calm and perform duties under pressure and time limits, • Reliable and punctual., • Able to secure transportation to and from work when scheduled., • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly (internal radio devices), • Must have a working cell phone and be willing to install basic applications and be willing to use it for work purposes, • Must be able to endure sitting or standing for extended periods of time, • Must be able to endure standing or walking for extended periods of time on various surfaces such as concrete, grass, and inclined surfaces., • Must be able to endure outdoor elements including cold, heat, wind, and/or precipitation, • Must be able to work in large, crowded environments, with flashing lights, loud music and noises, pyrotechnics, and cannons as part of shows and events, • Ability to work in a variety of environments, including but not limited to heights, elevators, darkened areas, around crowds, loud noise, and flashing lights., • Continuous standing and walking, including up and down stairs.
