Position Summary: The Senior Housing Case Manager provides leadership, guidance, and support to a team of Housing Case Managers serving individuals with high acuity needs. This role balances supervisory responsibilities with a small direct service caseload and acts as a subject matter expert for housing resources, best practices, and system requirements. The Team Lead helps ensure compliance with funding requirements, fosters interdisciplinary collaboration, and supports successful housing outcomes for Damien Center participants. Duties and Responsibilities: • Maintain a small caseload of high-acuity housing clients while supporting the broader case management team., • Provide day-to-day guidance and serve as the primary point of contact for procedural or programmatic questions., • Train, onboard, and mentor new staff, ensuring consistent understanding of Housing First and Trauma-Informed care principles., • Monitor service delivery for accuracy, quality, and alignment with program guidelines and contractual expectation., • Facilitate weekly in-house case conferencing to review cases, coordinate services, and support staff success., • Coordinate peer support for home visits (“buddy system”) to ensure staff safety., • Maintain an updated list of affordable, equitable, low-barrier housing opportunities., • Build and maintain relationships with landlords, leasing agents, and property management partners., • Serve as team subject matter expert on the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) supporting data quality and reporting requirements., • Participate in local housing work groups, committees, and collaborative meetings to stay informed on community housing resources and system changes., • Foster a team-based culture centered on Trauma-Informed Care, client autonomy, and equitable service delivery., • Report key successes, challenges, and outcome trends to Hosing Program Managers regularly., • Collaborate frequently with Damien Center care teams to ensure integrated, holistic support across services., • Promote long-term housing stability and improved quality of life for housing participants. Education and/or Experience Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, psychology, public health, or related field preferred (equivalent relevant experience accepted). Minimum 2- 3 years of experience in housing case management, homeless services, or supportive services. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Trained or willing to be trained as a Coordinated Entry System (CES)Assessor. Hold or willing to obtain NSPIRE Inspector certification. Bilingual in Spanish/ English a plus. *Work or lived experience may substitute for education requirements on a case-by-case basis. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Possess superior organizational and administrative skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities. Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Ability to work independently and achieve high standards of productivity, achieving deadlines and with superior product results. Strong calendaring, organizational, and document management skills required. Proactive approach to solving problems and communicating to leadership. Knowledge of office management systems, procedures, and office equipment required. Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work.
