Job Description Job Summary The Paraprofessional is responsible for providing direct care, support, and supervision to adult males with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a community or group home setting. This role involves assisting residents with daily living activities, promoting independence, ensuring safety, and implementing individualized service plans in accordance with state regulations and agency policies. The paraprofessional works closely with other team members to create a supportive, respectful, and engaging living environment that encourages personal growth and community involvement. This includes helping with hygiene, meals, medication administration, behavioral support, and transportation to appointments or community outings. The ideal candidate is patient, compassionate, dependable, and committed to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with diverse needs. Responsibilities • Direct Care & Daily Living Support, • Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and feeding., • Support residents in maintaining personal hygiene and a clean-living environment., • Encourage and promote independence in daily tasks based on each individual’s ability. 2. Medication Administration • Safely administer prescribed medications according to individual plans and document accurately., • Monitor for side effects or changes in behavior related to medications., • Follow all protocols and training related to medical emergencies. 3. Behavioral Support • Implement and follow behavior support plans designed by clinical professionals., • Use de-escalation techniques and provide emotional support during moments of distress., • Accurately document incidents, behavior changes, and interventions. 4.
