Enjoy Tulsa healthcare opportunities, a vibrant arts scene, parks, and a supportive clinical environment while on assignment. \n\nJob Details\n\n • Position: Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) – Charge RN / Perioperative Nurse\n, • Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,790 – $1,890\n, • Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma (74104) — Tulsa healthcare / Tulsa nursing jobs\n, • Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 13, 2026 – July 13, 2026)\n, • Shift: Day shifts, 3x12-hour (06:45 – 19:15), Friday/Saturday/Sunday\n, • Hours per Week: 36\n, • Setting: Operating Room (OR Charge role) — surgical nurse / perioperative nurse\n, • Scrubs Provided\n\n\nQualifications\n\n, • Minimum 1 year of Operating Room RN experience required (perioperative/surgical nursing experience)\n, • Previous charge RN experience preferred — OR Charge RN or team lead experience a plus\n, • Valid Oklahoma RN license or Compact RN license required at time of submission\n, • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required\n, • Familiarity with surgical procedures (thoracotomy, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, laparoscopic procedures, thyroidectomy, arthroscopy, spinal fusion, total joint replacement, cystoscopy, nephrectomy, prostatectomy, and more)\n, • Knowledge of perioperative safety protocols: fire, laser, radiation safety, infection control, specimen handling, universal protocol, and wound management\n, • Community hospital experience preferred — first-time travel nurses welcome\n\n\nPrimary Responsibilities\n\n, • Serve as Charge RN in the Operating Room, overseeing daily OR operations and supporting surgical teams\n, • Coordinate perioperative patient care and case flow for a daily census of approximately 50 across 19 OR rooms\n, • Assist and circulate for a variety of surgical specialties including breast/plastics, GYN, ophthalmology, robotics, general surgery, neuro/spine, orthopedics, pulmonary, and urology\n, • Use advanced surgical equipment such as Stealth, O-arm, ION, Hana table, Jackson table, and DV5 robot\n, • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (IV team, physical therapy, respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, anesthesia) to optimize patient outcomes\n, • Adhere to universal protocols, infection control standards, and facility safety guidelines\n, • Float to like units within scope as needed based on facility requirements\n\n\nPerks & Benefits\n\n, • Competitive weekly pay for travel nursing jobs\n, • Scrubs provided and supportive perioperative team\n, • Opportunity to work with advanced technology and diverse surgical cases\n GHR Healthcare Job ID #470150.
