Job Description We are Estrella Media, the largest privately held, minority-owned Spanish-language broadcaster in the United States with TV and radio stations operating in several top Hispanic markets, parent company of the Estrella TV Network, and the only US based Producer of Spanish-language programming. Position Summary: Based in the #4 Hispanic market, our Houston stations — KQQK 107.9 FM (El Norte) and KTJM 98.5 FM (La Raza) — are seeking a Promotions Coordinator to oversee and execute all promotional operations. This role is responsible for coordinating, implementing, and supporting the daily promotional activities that enhance our stations’ visibility and engagement — from live events and contests to community activations and social media campaigns. Responsibilities: • Daily communication with Promotions Director and promotions team., • Plan, execute, and support promotional events, remotes, van hits, and street team activities from start to finish., • Collaborates with multiple departments to create and execute promotions such as remotes, events, van hits and other street team activities from start to finish., • Collaborate across departments to create innovative promotions and audience engagement opportunities., • Participate in weekly promotions and street team meetings., • Represent the station professionally while engaging with listeners, clients, and on-air talent., • Manage contest rules, prize distribution, and winner documentation at events., • Drive and maintain promotional vehicles, ensuring they are properly stocked and operational., • Set up, operate, and break down event equipment and PA systems as required., • Performs basic office administrative functions and updates station web site., • Prepare event sheets, recaps, and reports for Account Executives within 48 hours of each event., • Be creative and entertain a crowd in public with games, music and trivia., • Inspects and keeps maintenance of station vehicles, paperwork (registration & insurance)., • Operate broadcast equipment, Microsoft computers, and PA (Public Announcement) Systems., • Support social media efforts by developing and implementing strategies to grow visibility and interaction across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.)., • Capture and analyze performance metrics to continuously optimize promotional and social efforts., • Abides by organizational norms and supports organizational goals., • Maintain professionalism and composure in high-energy or fast-paced environments., • Perform additional duties as assigned. Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma required., • Minimum 1 year of experience in event marketing, promotions, or related field., • Outgoing personality with enthusiasm for engaging the public; experience with large crowds preferred., • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move up to 40 lbs., • Excellent verbal communication, writing, and interpersonal skills; strong attention to detail., • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe Photoshop., • Requires ability to comprehend and write reports/recap summaries of remotes and van hits., • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities; thrives under tight deadlines., • Positive attitude, detail, and customer oriented, with good multi-tasking and organizational ability., • Solid understanding of online marketing on major social media channels such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Google+, blogs, forums and discussion boards., • Bilingual fluency (English/Spanish) in reading, writing, and speaking required.
