Job Description Job Title: Logistics Account Manager Job Description The Logistics Account Manager plays a key role in driving revenue growth and expanding the customer base through strategic logistics partnerships. In this full-time, onsite role, you build and manage high-volume freight accounts, develop strong client relationships, and collaborate closely with internal operations teams to deliver reliable, high-quality service. This position is ideal for a motivated self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys consultative selling, and takes ownership of results while working as part of a collaborative team. Responsibilities • Prospect and grow new business accounts through research, cold calls, warm calls, and targeted strategic outreach., • Build trust with clients using a consultative sales approach that uncovers pain points and delivers tailored logistics solutions., • Develop and maintain operating procedures to ensure clear expectations, consistent communication, and seamless execution for each account., • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers, managing day-to-day communications and providing outstanding customer service., • Manage and grow a book of business that includes approximately 300–400 loads per week, ensuring timely and accurate execution., • Partner closely with operations and internal teams to secure capacity, resolve service issues, and deliver timely, high-quality transportation solutions., • Ensure shipments are executed according to standards while consistently striving to exceed both customer and carrier expectations., • Enter, update, and manage customer data and load information in TMW and CRM systems to maintain accurate records., • Generate insights and reports from TMW and CRM systems for internal use, supporting decision-making and performance tracking., • Assist with pricing strategies and bid submissions to help secure new opportunities and support competitive proposals., • Conduct regular outreach to existing customers to strengthen relationships, identify additional opportunities, and ensure satisfaction., • Meet or exceed expectations for weekly call activity and other performance metrics related to building and expanding a book of business., • Collaborate with team members to share market insights, best practices, and capacity solutions in a high-volume, fast-moving environment., • Proven account management experience within the logistics or freight industry, with direct responsibility for customer relationships and operational oversight., • Background in freight brokerage, carrier sales, or logistics account management, managing high-volume, fast-moving customer accounts., • Demonstrated experience in customer service, logistics, and account management, with a strong focus on relationship-building., • Ability to effectively manage and oversee approximately 300–400 loads per week while maintaining service quality., • High school diploma or GED required., • Ability to travel up to 25% for customer visits and industry events., • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism., • Strong relationship-building and influencing skills, with a customer-first and solutions-oriented mindset., • Decisive and accountable, with a strong sense of ownership over results and customer outcomes., • Self-motivated and driven, with the ability to work independently while contributing to a team., • Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills for both internal and external stakeholders., • Strong time management and prioritization skills to handle multiple accounts, loads, and tasks simultaneously., • Adaptable, reliable, and detail-driven, with a commitment to quality and ethical conduct., • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered., • Logistics or freight industry Background strongly preferred, especially in freight brokerage, carrier sales, or logistics account management., • Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS), particularly TMW Innovative, is helpful but not required., • Experience using CRM platforms to manage customer relationships and track sales activities is beneficial., • Demonstrated track record of managing customer relationships in a high-volume, fast-moving logistics environment., • Experience developing and executing pricing strategies or participating in bid submissions for logistics services., • Strong analytical mindset for generating insights and reports from TMS and CRM data., • Professional, ethical approach with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality service. This is a full-time, 100% onsite role with standard hours of 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., working as part of a small logistics team of approximately three to four people, with growth planned. You collaborate closely with operations, sales, and leadership in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment focused on high-volume freight movement and exceptional customer service. The role uses TMW Innovative and CRM platforms to manage loads, accounts, and reporting. Travel of up to 25% is expected for customer visits and industry events. Paid time off is accrued and may be used for any reason, including vacation, illness, appointments, personal needs, bereavement, or childcare, with a minimum accrual of 56 hours in the first year and incremental increases based on tenure; unused PTO carries over at the end of each benefit year.
