Job DescriptionJob Title: Cleaner – Data Center Construction Site Job Description This role is responsible for performing final cleaning services in an active commercial and industrial construction environment, specifically within a data center facility. You will ensure that server rooms and surrounding areas are thoroughly cleaned, safe, and ready for use by wiping down server racks, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness at various heights, including work performed from ladders and lifts. Responsibilities • Perform detailed final cleaning of data center areas, including server rooms and surrounding spaces, to meet strict cleanliness standards., • Wipe down server racks, equipment surfaces, and related infrastructure to remove dust and debris., • Sweep, mop, and dust floors, walls, and other surfaces throughout the facility., • Work at heights, including up to approximately 8 feet on ladders, to dust servers, wires, and elevated structures using broom dusters and other tools., • Use cleaning tools and equipment safely and effectively, including dusters, mops, brooms, and powered cleaning equipment when required., • Operate scissor or boom lifts when needed, following all safety procedures and using proper lift certification if required by site policies., • Follow all site safety rules, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to construction site protocols., • Maintain a clean, organized work area and promptly remove debris and waste from the worksite., • Collaborate with on-site teams and respond professionally to any customer or contractor requests related to cleaning tasks., • Report any safety hazards, equipment issues, or facility concerns to the appropriate on-site contact.Essential Skills, • Proven cleaning experience, ideally in a commercial or industrial environment., • Comfort working at heights, including performing cleaning tasks from ladders up to approximately 8 feet., • Ability to perform physical tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and handling cleaning equipment for the duration of the shift., • Experience working on commercial or industrial construction sites or similar environments., • Familiarity with operating scissor lifts or boom lifts, with lift certification where required., • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards., • Ability to follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment correctly., • Reliable, punctual, and able to work scheduled evening shifts, Monday through Friday.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Previous janitorial or sanitation experience in a commercial, industrial, or large facility setting., • Customer service experience involving direct interaction with customers or on-site personnel., • Experience using floor buffers or other powered cleaning equipment., • Ability to communicate clearly with supervisors, coworkers, and on-site contacts., • Willingness to learn and follow specific cleaning protocols for sensitive environments such as data centers.Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is based on an active commercial and industrial construction site within a data center facility. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. You will work indoors in areas that may include server rooms, equipment spaces, and general facility zones that require thorough cleaning and dust control. The environment includes construction activity, so you must be comfortable navigating around equipment, materials, and other trades while adhering to safety protocols. Jeans and steel-toe boots are required; all additional personal protective equipment, such as safety vests, hard hats, and other necessary gear, will be provided on site. You may use ladders and powered lifts (such as scissor or boom lifts) to reach elevated areas, and you will regularly perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and lifting during your shift. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lancaster, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
