Job DescriptionJob Title: Machine Operator Job Description This role focuses on operating rainware roll formers, slitters, and related manufacturing equipment to produce high-quality parts in a clean, fast-paced production environment. You will set up and run machines, perform inspections, complete basic maintenance, and support overall warehouse and production activities while consistently following safety procedures and production orders. Responsibilities • Operate rainware roll former, slitter, and other assigned machines and equipment in the shop according to work orders and production requirements., • Set up machines by configuring all required functions, including adjustments for material thickness, clamp placement, and specific work order specifications., • Make accurate adjustments to machine settings to ensure proper operation and product quality for various materials and production runs., • Inspect manufactured parts using tape measures, scales, calipers, and computerized measuring devices to verify dimensions and quality standards., • Read, interpret, and complete production orders and related documentation with attention to detail and accuracy., • Perform secondary operations on manufactured parts, such as cleaning and other finishing tasks, as required by the production process., • Arrange parts and materials as needed for efficient production flow, including staging work and organizing components., • Place raw stock, partially completed work, and finished jobs in the appropriate storage or production areas to maintain organization and traceability., • Perform basic preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment to support reliable and safe operation., • Conduct visual safety checks for machine wear, damage to tooling, and correct positioning of safety guards, and report any issues promptly., • Assist other machine operators as needed to support overall production goals and workflow., • Support other departments with warehouse and general production work when required., • Follow all safety regulations and procedures, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the assigned work areas., • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area throughout each shift.Essential Skills, • Proven experience operating manufacturing machinery, such as roll formers, slitters, press brakes, stamping presses, or similar production equipment., • Hands-on machine operation experience in a production or manufacturing environment., • General labor experience in a shop or warehouse setting., • Ability to accurately use measuring tools, including tape measures, scales, calipers, and computerized measuring devices., • Experience with assembly tasks and working with hand tools in a manufacturing context., • Understanding of basic production processes and workflow in a manufacturing facility., • Ability to operate equipment safely and follow established safety procedures at all times., • Capability to read and complete production orders and related documentation.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Comfort working with roll forming equipment and other metal-forming machinery., • Experience in stamping press or press brake operations is a plus., • Strong attention to detail when inspecting parts and verifying measurements., • Ability to stand and reach with hands and arms for extended periods during the shift., • Ability to regularly walk, sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed to perform job duties., • Ability to regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift, with assistance, up to 100 pounds., • Reliability and willingness to assist team members and other departments as needed.Why Work Here? You will work around rainware roll formers, slitters, and other machinery in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. The position involves standing, walking, lifting, and performing physical tasks throughout the shift in a production and warehouse setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sacramento, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
