Job DescriptionDescriptionIronman Sound Industries is now a part of Markey's, a leading multi-state provider of creative audio-visual services. We are seeking a full-time Event Technician to add to our growing team in our St. Louis Office. The Event Technician is a client-facing position responsible for setup, operation, maintenance, and strike of a variety of high-end AV equipment- for both live & hybrid/virtual client meetings and events. Our shows are typically hosted at various venues in the Greater St. Louis Area. We are hiring for a Full-Time, hourly (non-exempt) position, eligible for overtime. Position Responsibilities • Work closely with clients, Project Managers, and other Event Technicians to ensure the successful completion of events., • Operation of all types of lighting equipment for both live and virtual events- including but not limited to professional lighting consoles, Art-Net and sACN DMX systems, moving head fixtures, wireless up lights, follow spots, and hazer/fog systems., • Setup, strike, loading, and unloading of all forms of event equipment., • Provide excellent customer service while promptly handling any equipment changes or requests., • Ensure equipment is functionally, safely, and professionally set up for execution of all events., • Trouble-shoot any equipment issues with satisfactory resolution., • Maintain organization and cleanliness of tech areas., • A good working knowledge of all types of lighting equipment- including operation, setup, troubleshooting, and explanation of equipment's use., • Preferred prior working knowledge and use of Avolites consoles; Pathway Connectivity's VIA and Pathport products; Martin Viper, Quantum, Aura or Rush fixtures; Chauvet Ovation or Freedom Par fixtures; or Elation Proteus Rayzor or Fuze Max fixtures are a definite plus., • Excellent customer service skills, politely and promptly responding to client needs., • Ability to work in both a collaborative team environment, and independently., • Ability to follow directions from the Project Manager or Crew Lead, and implement such tasks in a timely fashion., • A high level of attention to detail, excellent time management skills, and ability to multi-task and prioritize work responsibilities., • Ability to effectively/professionally interact and communicate with both internal and external clients., • Ability to maintain a positive/professional appearance and attitude at all times., • Ability to handle stressful situations in a positive/professional manner., • Ability to embrace Markey's culture, demonstrate company values, respect diversity, and follow all company policies and procedures., • Must maintain a good driving record that meets driver insurability requirements, be able to pass a DOT medical certification, and must obtain any special licensing needed to be able to drive a box truck, van, or other company vehicle.
