Job Description Case Manager, Youth Development Services Position Summary Under the supervision of the Youth Development Program Manager, utilize a team approach to provide comprehensive case management, counseling and educational services to youth on probation and their families participating in the YDS program. Services include, but are not limited to, in-home support, parent training, crisis intervention, counseling, case management, conducting placement assessments, transporting participating youth, and community education and development. The Case Manager is expected to function as part of a multi-disciplinary team while making sound, independent decisions for the benefit of the clients and their families. The Case Manager works in a culturally sensitive manner and abides by the legal and ethical standards of the profession. Due to the nature of the workflow and client needs, the YDS Case Manager must be available to work schedules that include days, evenings, and weekends to best meet needs of the population served. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Minimum 1-year experience in child, youth and family services field. Experience should preferably have been in a community based or neighborhood service organization. Experience in the areas of individual, group, and family counseling, outreach, community education and development, advocacy and case management. Ability to work with a diverse cultural population.
