Job Summary The Electronic Equipment Assembler and Tester is responsible for the inspection, assembling and testing of electrical and electronic sub-assemblies, units and systems. Reads and interprets instructions. Fill reports and monitor equipment during burn-in process. Responsibilities: · Assemble materials. · Read and interpret drawings, diagrams, specifications, work orders, or reports. · Inspect wiring installations, assemblies, and circuits. · Assemble electrical or electronic units/systems or support structures and install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings. · Test product to ensure conformance to specifications. · Perform manual assembly. · Fabricate or modify parts, using shop equipment. · Populate or modify/replace components on printed circuit board assemblies. · Crimps, stakes, screws, bolts, solders, press fits, or performs similar operations to join or secure parts in place, using hand-tools, power-tools, machines, and equipment. · Installs finished assemblies or subassemblies in enclosures. · Assembles and attaches hardware to assemblies · Tends and monitors test fixtures and other electronic testing fixtures and equipment · Performs on-line go-not-go testing and inspection, using magnifying devices, measuring instruments, and electronic test equipment, to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards. · Verify work performed by yourself and peers. · Audit Kit for Shortages and provide shortage status. · Perform routine cycle counts on Work-In-Process (WIP) Inventory · Pulling parts/kits from the stockroom for WIP Requirements EDUCATION: High School diploma or general education degree (GED) plus a minimum of two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with co-workers and engineering and management staff. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. TOOLS USED: Digital Multi-meters, Cordless Screwdrivers — Phillips head screwdrivers, Stripping tools — Wire strippers, Crimpers, Cable Cutters, Pin Extraction Tool, Electronic Cutters, Electronic Pliers, Angled Long Nose, Solder Station, De-soldering tools, Antistatic devices ABILITIES: -Near Vision — Able to see details at close range. -Finger Dexterity — Able to make precise coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects. -Oral Comprehension — Able to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. -Arm-Hand Steadiness — Able to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position. -Manual Dexterity — Able to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects. Your salary and compensation will be determined based on various factors, including your geographical location, skill set, educational background, and work experience. In the spirit of openness regarding compensation, the base salary range for this position is $52,000/yr.
