This role is for a true operator and people leader: someone who can build structure, implement KPIs, develop leaders, and drive change in an environment where expectations are high, time windows are real, and “good enough” is not a thing. The operation is evolving and you will help build and maintain the structure to scale it. What Success Looks Like In the first 90 days, a strong leader will: • Establish trust while raising accountability, • Implement practical KPIs and rhythms (daily huddles, walk-throughs, escalation process), • Improve inventory discipline (cycle counts, control points, root-cause follow-up), • Strengthen SOP adherence without lighting the place on fire, • Reduce avoidable overtime and tighten scheduling efficiency, • Coach supervisors and leads to run cleaner shifts with fewer surprises Required Qualifications • 3–5+ years of warehouse operations experience (shipping/receiving/inventory/fulfillment), • 3–5+ years of people management experience, • Ability to work in a 365-day operation, including holidays, weekends, and shifting schedules as needed, • Strong communication and the ability to earn buy-in with tenured teams, • Ability to build SOPs, job aids, and clear written procedures, • Comfort working in a union environment (or the maturity to learn quickly) Preferred • Food-regulated / perishable distribution experience, • Experience building processes and KPIs from the ground up (not just inheriting automation), • Lean / Six Sigma exposure (helpful, not required), • Working knowledge of MS Office and inventory control systems (WMS/ERP experience a plus), • Bachelor’s degree Work Environment • Fully on-site role, • Fast-paced warehouse setting supporting multiple internal operating units, • Active role: walking, inspections, problem-solving in real time, • High visibility and high accountability Benefits Company-sponsored benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and additional perks/discounts. Bonuses based on performance Apply for Confidential Consideration If you are the kind of leader who can improve performance without coming in arrogant, build buy-in in a union setting, and run a warehouse like the operation actually matters, apply now.
