Position Overview The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations, ensuring efficient handling, storage, and dispatch of airport cargo and materials. This role involves managing inventory levels, implementing and maintaining optimal organizational practices, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. You must have strong leadership skills to direct and motivate a team of warehouse staff, along with proven experience in warehouse management systems and logistics. Additionally, you will work closely with procurement and production departments to align warehouse activities with broader operational needs, ensuring seamless supply chain management. Responsibilities • Oversee the operations and daily activities of the warehouse, ensuring compliance with company policies and safety procedures, • Manage and maintain inventory levels to ensure sufficient supplies and materials for production without overstocking, • Implement and monitor effective warehouse storage practices for optimal space utilization and safety, • Coordinate the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods to ensure accuracy and timeliness, • Lead, train, and develop warehouse staff to enhance productivity and efficiency, • Develop and maintain a safe working environment, conducting regular safety audits and training sessions, • Utilize warehouse management systems to monitor inventory and generate reports on stock levels, orders, and discrepancies, • Plan and oversee warehouse operations to meet production schedules and shipping deadlines, • Negotiate with transport companies and manage logistics to optimize shipping and receiving efficiencies, • Monitor operational costs, budgeting, and resource allocation to reduce expenses and improve cost-effectiveness, • Resolve any arising problems or complaints related to warehouse operations, • Collaborate with other department managers to integrate logistics with company processes, such as sales, marketing, and customer service, • Stay updated on advancements in warehousing and logistics technology to improve warehouse operations, • Prepare performance reports for management, detailing warehouse activity and performance issues, • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and ISO requirements related to warehousing and distribution, • Brings their “A” game every day with energy and enthusiasm, respect for their team, and the highest regard for safety, • 18 years of age or older, • Eligible to work in the United States, • Must provide their own hand tools, • Must have a valid state-issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record, • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, to include documents, • Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devices, • Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic means, • Pass a background check and drug screen To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential requirement satisfactorily.
