Job DescriptionJob Title: Production AssemblerJob Description This role involves assembling electronic products by hand-placing small components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs) and building chassis assemblies in an electronics manufacturing environment. You will work at a designated station, primarily seated, following basic work orders and technical documentation to ensure accurate placement and assembly of through-hole components. This is an entry-level position that requires strong attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination, and an interest in learning electronic assembly skills. Responsibilities • Work at a production station, primarily in a seated position, assembling electronic products according to work orders and instructions., • Hand place small electronic components on printed circuit boards (PCBs) following basic work orders that specify the location for each component., • Cut and form (prep) components prior to placement to ensure they meet required specifications., • Perform manual placement of through-hole (THT) components on PCBs using appropriate tools and techniques., • Assemble chassis components using a variety of hardware and hand tools to build complete electronic assemblies., • Follow visual work instructions, drawings, and basic blueprints to ensure correct assembly and component orientation., • Perform visual inspection of assemblies to verify correct component placement, orientation, and quality of workmanship., • Use hand tools and basic production equipment safely and correctly during assembly tasks., • Handle and work with electronic components such as resistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and connectors in an ESD-controlled environment., • Follow all safety procedures, including wearing required safety glasses and adhering to ESD (electrostatic discharge) controls., • Maintain a clean and organized work area and support general production and assembly tasks as needed., • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and quality standards.Essential Skills, • Ability to follow basic work orders, instructions, and visual guides to place components correctly on PCBs., • Strong attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination for precise placement of small components., • Comfort working with hand tools and basic production tools in an assembly environment., • Ability to perform visual inspection to identify errors or misplacements in assemblies., • Capability to read and interpret basic schematics, drawings, and technical documentation., • Familiarity with electronic components such as resistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and connectors., • Strong hands-on experience or aptitude for PCB rework, soldering, and electronics troubleshooting (experience may be developed on the job)., • Ability to work consistently in a seated position at a workstation for extended periods., • Willingness to follow safety protocols, including ESD procedures and wearing required safety equipment.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Interest in learning electronic assembly, production, and general labor tasks in a manufacturing environment., • Experience with electronic assembly, production work, or general labor is helpful but not required, as skills can be obtained on the job., • Ability to read and understand blueprints or detailed assembly drawings., • Comfort working with hand tools and small hardware for chassis assembly., • Willingness to grow into other assembly roles and technical positions as skills develop., • Openness to learning PCB rework, soldering, and electronics troubleshooting under guidance., • Ability to adapt to different assembly tasks and support various areas in the materials and production environment.Why Work Here? Work Environment Work takes place in an ESD-controlled electronics manufacturing environment where you handle sensitive electronic components and assemblies. You will work primarily in the materials area at a dedicated workstation, often in a seated position, assembling PCBs and chassis components. Safety glasses are required at all times in this area, and ESD protocols must be followed to protect electronic components. The role offers multiple shift options, including a daylight schedule of Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with the possibility of up to one hour of overtime per day and no weekend work, as well as a second shift schedule from Monday through Thursday, 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., with optional Friday overtime for an 8-hour shift from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. The facility is structured, safety-focused, and equipped for electronic assembly, providing a stable production environment with consistent hours and clear procedures. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mount Pleasant, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
