Job Description Senior Education Project Coordinator Vera House, Inc. is a human service agency that provides unconditional care for individuals and families through comprehensive domestic and sexual violence prevention and intervention services. POSITION SUMMARY: In this role, the Senior Education Project Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination and collaboration of multiple grant funded programs and initiatives, including but not limited to the Federal Grant to Engage Men and Boys as Allies in the Prevention of Violence Against Women and Girls Program, the 12 Men Model program, the Real Men Real Talk program, and the Coaching Boys into Men program. They will collaborate with community partners to generate, schedule, and provide presentations to engage men and boys in the prevention of domestic/dating violence, sexual assault/abuse. This includes developing, updating, and revising the program curricula and materials, collecting, analyzing, and reporting program outputs and outcomes to funding sources, and leadership within the organization. The Senior Education Project Coordinator will be expected to facilitate tabling events within the community, along with training and providing supervision of select educators on the team to ensure alignment with program deliverables. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Grant management duties include completion of grant goals and objectives, staff supervision, data collection and analysis, and reporting to funding sources., • Facilitate prevention education programs including youth education programs, and other programs within the prevention education department., • Coordinate with community partners to implement strategy and delivery of programs following policy and protocol to ensure the implementation and/or maintenance of the Agency’s program services., • Generate, schedule, and provide presentations to engage men and boys in the prevention domestic/dating violence, as well as programming for girls, including prevention and education of sexual assault/abuse in community and professional presentations., • Ensure the Agency’s services are maintained in accordance with the Agency’s mission and goals; maintain database consistent with Vera House practices., • Serve as a liaison representative of the Agency and foster positive working relationships with community members and partnering agencies particularly underserved communities., • Convene and participate in the Multidisciplinary team., • Manage difficult and/or emotional client situations and respond promptly to client needs., • Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: • Bachelor’s degree in education, human services, or related field., • One to three years of experience in direct service and community collaboration., • Experience in training, writing and public speaking with good interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills., • Strong training and facilitation skills and ability to work independently., • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite., • Thorough knowledge of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and elder abuse, including expert knowledge of specific trends and patterns of these crimes., • Strong understanding of sexual and relationship violence primary prevention., • Ability to lead and manage a team with strong leadership and engagement skills., • Proficient in planning, organization, time management, with the ability to solve complex problems and demonstrate critical thinking., • Capability to develop a positive, compassionate rapport with victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking or other violent trauma., • Demonstrated ability to create and maintain a budget., • Access to reliable transportation for travel throughout the area in the community., • Completion of a satisfactory background check.
