Cooks are responsible for preparing and cooking a wide range of menu items, including breakfast classics, pancakes, omelets, and other dishes, while adhering to IHOP's standards for taste, presentation, and safety. Responsibilities • Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to IHOP's recipes and quality standards., • Ensure that all food preparation and cooking processes adhere to food safety guidelines and sanitation standards., • Ensure that orders are prepared accurately and in a timely manner to meet customer expectations., • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area, including equipment, utensils, and workstations., • Work closely with other kitchen staff, including chefs and servers, to coordinate food preparation and delivery., • Stay informed about menu changes, specials, and promotions to provide accurate information to customers., • Monitor the quality of food products and ingredients to ensure they meet IHOP's standards., • Be prepared to handle a fast-paced and high-pressure environment during peak dining hours., • Strive to create a positive dining experience for customers by consistently delivering delicious and visually appealing dishesQualification, • Proficient in cooking techniques, including grilling, frying, sauting, etc, • Familiarity with food safety regulations and practices., • Ability to work effectively in a team, communicate well with colleagues, and collaborate in a fast-paced kitchen environment., • Pay close attention to food preparation, cooking times, and presentation to ensure high-quality dishes., • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently to meet customer demand., • Flexibility to handle changing menu items and adapt to different kitchen situations., • Must be able to stand for extended periods, lift heavy pots and pans, and work in a hot kitchen environment., • Familiarity with IHOP's menu offerings and the ability to provide recommendations to customers.
