ROLE OVERVIEW The Procurement Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the delivery of Category Management across direct procurement categories within the EMEA region. Working closely with the Senior Category Manager, this role contributes to both the operational execution and strategic development of category strategies, ensuring continuity of supply at optimal cost while driving continuous improvement. The role requires strong analytical capability, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively across a complex, fast-paced, international organisation. You will work closely with Global Procurement, EMEA Planning, Operations, Strategic Planning, Innovation, Finance, and key external vendors to support category performance and value creation. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Category Strategy Support • Support the Category Manager in executing the EMEA category strategy in line with global procurement objectives, • Implement and manage key category processes to ensure delivery against strategic goals, • Support quarterly supplier review sessions and ongoing supplier engagement, • Maintain visibility of supply base stakeholders and key category risks, • Support continuous improvement initiatives across procurement processes, • Assist with issue identification, escalation, and resolution, • Support Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) plans and governance, • Collect, analyse, and manage supplier performance data, • Support supplier performance reviews and improvement initiatives, • Support price management activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance, • Maintain accurate and up-to-date price files, • Support procurement operations in data accuracy, timeliness, and reporting, • Assist with invoice validation, escalation, and resolution, • Provide analytical support for category strategy development and negotiations, • Analyse financial, operational, and market data to support informed decision-making, • Act as a role model for ethical behaviour and compliance, • Support responsible sourcing, sustainability, and mutuality principles across the supply base SKILLS & EXPERIENCE • Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or related discipline, • MCIPS qualification preferred, • 2–4 years’ procurement experience, ideally within an FMCG environment, • Strong negotiation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, • Experience working with SAP, • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large and complex data sets, • Excellent communication skills across multiple countries and functions, • Strong organisational and project management capability, • Working knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles, • Comfortable working independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, • Proactive, detail-driven, and solution-oriented, • Confident operating in a matrixed, international organisation, • Resilient, adaptable, and able to thrive under pressure Interested?
