📢 Scanning Services Supervisor – Peterborough (UK) 💼 Full-Time | Leadership Role | Operations & Service Delivery 💷 Salary: Up to circa £40,000 pa + bonus 🕒 Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week 📍 Location: Peterborough, UK (commutable distance required) Are you an experienced operations leader with a background in document scanning and digital services? We are seeking a Scanning Services Supervisor to lead a busy Peterborough Scanning Bureau, driving efficiency, quality, and service excellence. 🌟 About the Role You will lead a team of circa 20 colleagues, with 3–5 direct reports, ensuring smooth delivery of high-quality scanning and digital services for client contracts. This hands-on leadership role combines team management, operational planning, and commercial awareness, with a focus on: ✅ Managing day-to-day scanning operations (document prep, scanning, quality control, and data input) ✅ Delivering against KPI & SLA targets to maintain exceptional client service ✅ Driving operational efficiency and profitability through cost control & resource planning ✅ Supporting the growth of scanning services, including AI-driven efficiencies and innovative client solutions ✅ Leading & developing the local team to build a collaborative workplace culture 🔹 Key Responsibilities • Plan & coordinate workloads for the scanning teams to meet deadlines and client expectations, • Monitor team performance, identify improvements, and implement continuous improvement initiatives (LEAN/Six Sigma), • Ensure compliance with ISO standards (ISO9001, ISO27001, ISO10008) and all Health & Safety requirements, • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver new projects and support business growth, • Produce clear management reporting, dashboards, and KPIs to track performance and profitability 🔹 What We’re Looking For • Proven supervisory/management experience in scanning or production environments, • Strong knowledge of scanning hardware/software (IBML, Kodak, Kofax/Tungsten), • Excellent people management and team leadership skills, • Commercially aware with experience in cost control, operational planning & modelling, • Confident in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills desirable, • Understanding of GDPR, data protection, and document management solutions, • LEAN Six Sigma, IOSH, or PRINCE2 certifications desirable (not essential) 💡 Why Join? • Lead a high-performing team in a growing, innovative scanning services business, • Play a key role in shaping the future of digital document management, • Enjoy a supportive & collaborative environment where your ideas create real impact 📧 Apply now to take ownership of operational excellence and help deliver market-leading scanning & digital solutions!
