This is a key leadership role within the finance function, offering the opportunity to manage a high-performing team while remaining operationally involved in day-to-day cash and banking activities. This position would suit an experienced supervisor or team leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys developing people, and is comfortable working to tight deadlines while maintaining strong controls and accuracy. The Role: As Transactional Finance Manager, you will take responsibility for overseeing the cash and banking function, ensuring transactions are processed accurately and on time, and acting as the first point of escalation for complex queries or issues. While you will lead the team, this remains a hands-on role requiring active involvement in operational processes and continuous improvement initiatives. Key responsibilities will include: • Leading, coaching, and developing a team responsible for cash and banking activities, • Acting as the escalation point for queries, exceptions, and operational challenges, • Ensuring daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines are consistently achieved, • Overseeing reconciliations, cash allocations, and banking transactions, • Maintaining robust financial controls and ensuring compliance with internal policies, • Driving process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy, • Collaborating with internal stakeholders across finance and operations You: The successful candidate will bring strong leadership capability alongside solid technical knowledge of cash and banking processes. You will be confident managing people, or be able to demonstrate abilities that will make you a strong manager, set clear expectations, and supporting your team to perform under pressure. You will likely have: • Proven experience leading or supervising a transactional finance or cash/banking team, • Strong people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff, • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities to tight deadlines, • A hands-on approach and willingness to support operational delivery when required, • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards, • Experience working in a fast-paced finance environment Salary & Benefits: • £60,000 – £75,000 base salary, • Performance-related bonus, • Hybrid working model, • Generous benefits package, • Opportunities for progression within a growing organisation
