commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting and technical support on combustion and fired equipment.You will work closely with customers, end users and internal engineering teams to ensure equipment is commissioned, maintained and supported safely, effectively and professionally.The role will involve extensive travel, potentially over 200 days per year, usually for periods of 12 weeks at a time, with some longer trips of up to 6 weeks depending on project requirements.Key responsibilities will include:Carrying out on-site commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting and fault analysisSupporting installation supervision and retrofit equipment activitiesWorking on combustion and fired equipment including flare systems, boiler burners, process burners, thermal oxidisers and vapour recovery systemsPreparing RAMS, site visit reports, timesheets and client documentationReading and interpreting P&IDs, electrical schematics and mechanical drawingsSupporting site turnarounds, outages and service contractsDelivering technical training to end-user personnel both on site and in classroom settingsIdentifying opportunities for aftermarket spares, service support and additional customer solutionsBuilding strong relationships with customers and end usersWorking safely at all times in line with company and customer health and safety proceduresAbout YouYou will need to be a practical, hands-on Field Service Engineer or Commissioning Engineer with strong technical capability and the flexibility to travel extensively.This role could suit someone from combustion, oil and gas, petrochemical, power generation, process plant, industrial services, controls, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation or multi-skilled engineering backgrounds.You will ideally have:Experience as a Field Service Engineer, Commissioning Engineer, Service Engineer, Multi-Skilled Engineer or Service TechnicianStrong mechanical, electrical, instrumentation or controls knowledgeExperience with PLC control systems, fault finding or industrial control systemsAbility to read P&IDs, electrical schematics and mechanical drawingsExperience working on process plant, combustion systems, fired equipment, burners, flares, thermal oxidisers, boilers or similar industrial equipmentStrong fault-finding and troubleshooting skillsGood verbal and written communication skillsStrong computer skills for reports, RAMS, timesheets and documentationA proactive, self-motivated approachWillingness to travel extensively across Europe and the Middle EastConfidence working at height, in confined spaces and potentially offshore environmentsStrong commitment to health and safetyUseful but not essential:Previous combustion experienceOil and gas, petrochemical, refinery, power generation or energy sector experienceExperience supervising outages, turnarounds, installations or retrofit projectsTime-served background working away from homeExperience delivering customer training or site-based technical supportLocation / TravelThis is a field-based / remote role involving extensive international travel across Europe and the Middle East.The companys UK base is in the Stamford / Oakham / Rutland area, but candidates with the right field service, commissioning and travel flexibility will be considered from a wider UK location.Candidates must be comfortable with regular overseas travel,
