Reporting to our Social Investment Team Leader, our Social Investment Officer's are responsible for delivering MSV's Social Investment Strategy by working with local and national partners to develop community hubs, create neighbourhood touch points, and deliver high-quality initiatives that support employment, training, volunteering, and community development. The role empowers volunteers and community groups to lead sustainable projects, secure external funding, ensure customer voice is at the heart of all activities, and capture social value outcomes to demonstrate impact and value for money. In addition, we are looking for candidates that have a passion to advocate on behalf of people and communities. What do our Social Investment Officer's do; Build and maintain strong partnerships with internal teams, external organisations, and local networks to maximise community impact and promote collaborative working. Deliver and lead initiatives that support customers and communities, with a particular focus on employment, training, community sustainability, and generating new opportunities for the Group. Manage and empower volunteers to support local projects, while ensuring equality, diversity, inclusion, health and safety, and customer-focused service delivery are embedded in all activities. Secure, manage, and maximise external funding and grants, undertake social return on investment assessments, and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures. Produce performance data and reports, represent MSV professionally across forums and partnerships, and ensure compliance with GDPR, confidentiality requirements, and corporate policies. What we are looking for; Proven experience delivering high-quality projects and initiatives within community-focused environments, ensuring work is completed to a high standard and on time. Skilled in bid writing, securing external grant funding, and managing community assets to maximise opportunities and resources for local communities. Strong track record of working collaboratively within busy teams and with stakeholders to deliver positive outcomes and support sustainable community development. Highly organised and self-motivated professional with strong problem-solving, presentation, and interpersonal skills, able to manage competing priorities, work under pressure, and use initiative while recognising when to escalate issues. Customer-focused and collaborative, with a track record of innovation and delivering high-quality services, supported by strong Microsoft Office skills and a professional, approachable manner.
