Business Development Manager – Plant and Site Equipment Hire\n\nJob Title: Business Development Manager – Plant and Site Equipment Hire\n\nIndustry Sector: Infrastructure, Road, Rail, Highways, Utilities, Renewable Energy, Construction, Public Sector, Housebuilders, Static and Mobile Welfare Units, CCTV, Fire & Security, Site Design, Personal Protection, Sustainable Welfare, Site Toilets & Showers, Wheel Washing, Lighting Towers, Shelters & Storage, Fuel & Water Tanks, Site Power Generation, Renewable Power Generation, Site Accommodation and Environmental Site Solutions\n\nArea to be covered: National\n\nRemuneration: £50,000-£55,000 neg. + Up to 50% commission\n\nBenefits: Car Allowance or Hybrid/ EV company car + comprehensive benefits package\n\nThe role of the Business Development Manager – Plant and Site Equipment Hire will involve:\n\n * Field sales position selling the hire of site accommodation, static and mobile welfare units and site power generators with renewable energy\n\n * Promoting mobile welfare units, CCTV, fire & security, site toilets & showers, wheel washing, lighting towers, shelters & storage, fuel & water tanks, site power generation, site accommodation and solar generators, solar smart frames, battery storage units and renewable power accessories\n\n * Predominantly selling into Tier One infrastructure contractors within; utilities, road, rail and highways\n\n * Responsible for approx. 6 national accounts; predominantly utilities contractors\n\n * Responsible for growing revenue from £2,500-£3,000 per day to £4,000 per day\n\n * Targeting projects within utilities, road, rail and highways, typically £10,000-£20,000 small project up to £100,000 larger projects\n\n * Four days a week on the road, 2 customer visits per day, one day home admin\n\n * 50% new business development, 50% account managing agreements with the tier one contractors typically between £600,000-£1m\n\nThe ideal applicant will be a Business Development Manager – Plant and Site Equipment Hire with:\n\n * Must have field sales experience within infrastructure; utilities, rail, highways or roads\n\n * Hire/ rental field sales industry experience preferred\n\n * Contacts within tier one/ main contractors advantageous (utilities in particular)\n\n * Open on product background\n\n * Ideally knowledge of renewable power products\n\n * Open to all power generations, battery and solar field sales backgrounds\n\n * New business and account management skills\n\n * Engineering knowledge\n\n * Experience of providing power related solutions and communicating technical product knowledge\n\n * Strong negotiation and commercial skills\n\n * Understanding of electrical installations\n\nThe Company\n\n * 250+ employees\n\n * £40m+ turnover\n\n * Privately held\n\nMitchell Maguire is a specialist construction field sales recruitment consultancy, dealing exclusively with construction field sales jobs, construction field sales vacancies and specification field sales positions within: Infrastructure, Road, Rail, Highways, Utilities, Renewable Energy, Construction, Public Sector, Housebuilders, Static and Mobile Welfare Units, CCTV, Fire & Security, Site Design, Personal Protection, Sustainable Welfare, Site Toilets & Showers, Wheel Washing, Lighting Towers, Shelters & Storage, Fuel & Water Tanks, Site Power Generation, Renewable Power Generation, Site Accommodation and Environmental Site Solutions
