Be Part of Something Bigger\n Working within a specialist MEICA and Capital Maintenance team, you'll help deliver complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects that improve environmental performance, safeguard water supplies, and ensure critical assets continue to serve future generations. \n This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You'll lead site operations, coordinate teams, maintain the highest standards of health, safety and quality, and ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification. Along the way, you'll build strong relationships with colleagues, subcontractors, and customers while helping to solve real engineering challenges. What You'll Be Doing\n As General Foreman, you'll be responsible for: \n \n • Leading the safe and efficient delivery of water infrastructure projects.\n, • Supervising direct labour and site-based subcontractors.\n, • Ensuring work is completed to agreed quality, cost and programme requirements.\n, • Supporting project planning through look-ahead programmes and effective resource management.\n, • Managing site health, safety, environmental and compliance standards.\n, • Delivering site inductions, toolbox talks and daily briefings.\n, • Assisting with project change management and implementing risk mitigation plans.\n, • Building positive relationships with customers and stakeholders affected by the works.\n, • Driving a strong culture of teamwork, accountability and continuous improvement.\n What We're Looking For\n You'll be an experienced construction professional with a strong background in water or civil engineering projects and a passion for leading teams safely and effectively. \n Ideally, you'll have experience with: \n \n • Large diameter pipelaying.\n, • Streetworks.\n, • Deep excavations.\n, • Temporary works.\n, • Shafts and reinforced concrete structures.\n, • Supervising and developing site teams.\n \n You'll also hold (or be working towards) relevant industry qualifications, including: \n \n • SMSTS.\n, • NRSWA Supervisor.\n, • EUSR/DOMS Network qualifications.\n, • CSCS Gold Card.\n, • Confined Space (Medium Risk).\n, • First Aid certification.\n, • Construction Management qualification (preferred).\n, • Full UK driving licence with willingness to travel throughout Scotland.\n \n Most importantly, you'll demonstrate visible Health & Safety leadership and the ability to motivate others to deliver exceptional results.
