The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the safe and timely delivery of engineered trusses and I-beams to customers while delivering exceptional levels of customer service. Responsibilities As a Class 2 HGV Driver, your duties will include: • Safely operating a Class 2 HGV vehicle to deliver engineered trusses and I-beams to customer locations., • Loading and unloading products securely using appropriate equipment and safe handling techniques., • Planning efficient delivery routes to maximise productivity and minimise travel time., • Conducting daily vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with safety regulations., • Reporting any vehicle defects, maintenance requirements, or safety concerns., • Accurately completing all delivery documentation, including delivery notes, invoices, and customer signatures., • Maintaining records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage., • Providing excellent customer service and representing the company professionally at all times., • Adhering to all road traffic legislation, health and safety requirements, and company policies., • Communicating effectively with dispatch teams, warehouse personnel, and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays. Requirements The successful candidate will possess: • A valid Class 2 HGV Driving Licence (Class 1 licence would be advantageous)., • Previous experience driving HGV vehicles, ideally within a delivery or distribution environment., • A good understanding of road safety regulations and safe driving practices., • Strong navigation skills and experience using GPS or route-planning systems., • Excellent customer service and communication skills., • A professional, reliable, and safety-conscious approach to work.
