This is a hands-on leadership role where you will supervise a small team of multi-skilled maintenance engineers, ensuring maximum equipment uptime, safe working practices, and effective shift delivery. You will play a key role in maintaining and improving the reliability of critical production machinery, including furnaces/heat treatment, overhead cranes etc, and associated electrical and mechanical systems. Key Responsibilities • Lead, coach, and supervise a team of 2–3+ maintenance engineers/technicians on shift, • Allocate and prioritise reactive and planned maintenance tasks to minimise downtime, • Carry out hands-on electrical and/or mechanical fault finding on heavy industrial plant, • Maintain equipment such as motors, gearboxes, conveyors, sensors, PLC-controlled systems, and hydraulic/pneumatic machinery, • Ensure detailed shift handovers and accurate maintenance reporting using CMMS systems, • Supervise contractors and ensure work is completed safely and to a high standard, • Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures, including risk assessments and permits to work You will be a time-served maintenance engineer with strong fault-finding ability and ideally proven supervisory experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment.
